Novak Djokovic has arrived in Australia almost a year after he was deported over his stance against COVID-19 vaccination, Tennis Australia confirmed Wednesday.

Djokovic will open his 2023 campaign in Adelaide as he prepares for a shot at a 10th Australian Open title. >snip< Djokovic missed the Grand Slam event last year because of his refusal to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Australia has since lifted strict rules for unvaccinated travelers.

Immigration Minister Andrew Giles last month confirmed that Djokovic, who had been facing a possible three-year ban after being deported, has been granted a visa.

I could care less about tennis, but how i wish this guy would give Australia and the US a big F-U for not allowing him to play.

He needs to bad-mouth Australia in each and every daily press conference.

IF he wins, he should attribute it to be unvaccinated.

The US and the Aussies were *foolish* to ban him as they did...but the Brits handled it reasonably.

I’d love to see the final be Djokovic vs the guy who “won” last year...and I’d love to see Novak win in straight sets.

“but how i wish this guy would give Australia and the US a big F-U for not allowing him to play.”

He knowingly broke the rules and then tried to cheat and lie his way around them. He’s lucky he didn’t get the three year ban originally placed on him.

That was Nadal, and Nadal passed him on major wins while Djokovic couldn’t play.

In a tyrannical system like what was set up, the good guys are the ones that break the rules.

I broke rules constantly. I was dirty, mean, and mighty unclean the whole time.

I wish I was aa wealthy as Novak. It makes it much easier to fight against tyranny. I guess that is one reason that helped the founding fathers to fight against england. They had wealth to use in the fight.

“You suck.”

You are so sad. You don’t apparently find and work with facts, and you attack the messenger for telling the truth. Liberals do that when they have no defense for their actions or beliefs nor any idea what did actually happen in a particular situation. Either way, they base their determinations on what they were told by particular sources with an agenda rather than what they actually discover from sources that deal with facts and not misleading statements. Hope you heal.

“I broke rules constantly.”

The “rules” were published well in advance of the event and he was aware of them as he violated them and failed to report his violations. He went to the tennis organization to get approval to enter the country because he knew he wouldn’t be able to do it legally because of the rules set up for covid in that country by it’s federal government. The tennis association doesn’t make that decision and they can want all they desire, but he was stopped for violating the rules and then he tried to use the press as a wedge to force the government to fold.

A time he was truthful was this year’s US Open. The three-time US Open champion was prevented from participating at the final grand slam of the year due to his decision not to get vaccinated against Covid-19. The United States requires non-citizens to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus to enter the country, meaning that Djokovic could not travel to New York. What Australia did last year and the United States did this year was almost exactly the same. Where’s the complaint about the US this year. And the only real difference to me is he fessed up and didn’t lie and cheat like he did in Australia.

Tyranny should always be resisted.

People that follow a tyrant’s rules always bring more tyranny.

The COVID tyranny illustrated this quite nicely.

“tried to use the press as a wedge to force the government to fold.”

Good for him.

“Good for him.”

It’s their country. He lied and withheld information from them to try to illegally get into their country to earn money. If he doesn’t want to go by the rules, and in this case tried to go around them, then stay home. Makes him a liar and a cheater.

The US did the same thing to him telling him he was not to land in New York for our Open and I didn’t hear one complaint. And the act of a foreign citizen trying to violate our laws is called subversion. In our country it falls under federal law, 18 U.S.C. ch. 115. Subversion refers to a process by which the values and principles of a system in place are contradicted or reversed in an attempt to transform the established social order and its structures of power, authority, hierarchy, and social norms. Again, it is their country and the US should not try to be the big brother/sister of every lying everyone out their. We do it too much now. None of our business.
