Moscow Demands Ukraine Surrender or Face Battlefield ‘Elimination’
Breitbart ^ | 12/27/2022 | Simon Kent

Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused Ukraine and its western allies of trying to destroy his country late Monday night, demanding Kyiv accept Moscow’s prescription for ending the war or be “eliminated” on the battlefield.

Reuters reports Lavrov’s comments came against a backdrop of continued heavy fighting in eastern Ukraine and followed Russian President Vladimir Putin hinting he was open to negotiations, but only on Moscow’s terms.

Putin said on Sunday the Kremlin was “ready to negotiate with everyone involved about acceptable solutions” while blaming Kyiv for the lack of diplomatic progress so far.

Every country in the world has bio-chemical labs. Russia, Ukraine, Sweden, America, Brazil, Australia, China, Denmark.... it’s research.

Labs within a war zones must be protected as much as possible.

ISS is falling apart and is scheduled to be deorbited in a few years and the Russians only have part of ISS.

Do you realize that if a country with nuclear weapons used these weapons against a non-nuclear country without harsh consequences, the system of international relations would collapse? Every country in the world would try to acquire nuclear weapons if possible. Would you like to live in such a world?

My 'likes' have nothing to do with it. An average politician will not risk the existence of his or her country over a matter of principle, if their country is not already in mortal danger.

I have read that in such a case the US would sink the Russian Black Sea fleet. It would be a nice non-nuclear blow to the Russians.

Yes, I'm sure that would be a nice response, and I'm equally sure the Russians would never consider eliminating an American carrier or three as a followup. \sarc

Once a nuke is used, depict its yield, NATO will get involved. WWIII starts at that point.

NATO has no choice.

Unless the response is ordered by a non-human entity (like a 'doomsday computer' ;>), there will always be a choice. But you're probably right, simply because the guy in the White House apparently wants to escalate things, to secure his reelection and place in history...

They may try, but will they succeed? A carrier battle group is rather formidable, you know.

Russia did not comply with either of 2 Minsk agreements. One of the main terms was to remove all foreign troops, Russia added more instead, but had them remove insignia to pretend they were local. Another term was withdrawing heavy weapons, Russia was constantly moving them around and hiding them so it was impossible to track them. Satellite photos and OSCE personnel reported this. And OSCE was always prevented from getting near the Russian border to see where all the personnel and equipment was being brought in.

And you are falsifying what Merkel said.

said that agreement frozen the conflict and gave time to Ukraine to be stronger, and so as a result have better position in negotiations over Minsk implementation.

Here is the quote - “Merkel said that the Minsk agreements had been an attempt to “give Ukraine time” to build up its defenses”

As you can see - there was nothing about agreement being a sham - in fact Russia broke the agreement first by recognizing the separatists proxy republics.

When Minsk-2 was signed the idea was to re-integrate Donbass back in Ukraine as per Ukrainian law (see p.4 of Minsk agreements with increased cultural and financial autonomy (+greater economic ties to Russia).

Instead Russia insisted to legalize the proxy-officials that were installed by Russia (instead of running free and democratic elections in Donbass as it required by the agreements).

As Surkov (who was appointed by Russia for Minsk implementations) said - Russia goal is symbolic sovereignty of Ukraine over Donbass.

As you can see there is nothing trustworthy coming from Russia here as it completely sabotaged making compromises over the implementation of agreement (instead Russia pressured Ukraine to agree to its maximalist demands under the threat of invasion).

As I’ve said before, I live near the border with Ukraine and have helped and remain in contact with ukrainian refugees who went back to Ukraine and some have come back for work here.

The ordinary Ukrainians do not want to give Putin breathing space as they know he is not trustworthy.

Putin has killed thousands of Ukrainian and lied constantly. They thought he would be satisfied with Crimea and the Donbas he grabbed, but no, he came back 8 years later.

They know that if he is not pushed out now, he will come back in 8 years and unleash hell once more on their land. So they want to keep fighting.

If Putin had just gone into the Donbas, people might have shrugged, but no, hubris got him

“The word appears to be leaking out that Russia wasn’t behind the Nordstream terrorist act after all. If/when that it’s ever proven it was a US/UK operation, then Germany might rightfully be upset.”

I forget who said it, but someone in a high position stated flat-out that Russia didn’t blow up its own pipeline, huge revenue generator, and strongest leverage to put an end to the war in Ukraine. Claims to the opposite have about as much credibility as the media claiming that no cheating goes on in US elections.

Who knows regarding Germany, they seemed totally whipped at this point, so I suspect that they’ll need to feel a bit of pain first...then maybe they’ll start questioning being our bitch.

Russia has lost thousands of troops. Their elite paratroopers were wioed out, as were half of their junior officers.

They got desperate enough to call for partial mobilization, which failed.

If they hadn’t lost thousands of soldiers why would they try to get more?

They are reduced to getting weapons and ammunition from Iran and north Korea.

Ukraine has pushed Russia out of much if the land the Russians took.

China will grab what it can from Russia at discounts.

Japan doesn’t trust Putin either.

Btw thus is about the zero trust the world has in Putin’s regime

“America and NATO countries are not ANNEXING foreign countries with brute military violence.”

No, we just SEVER countries for sport*, like Serbia and Syria. Yep, we’re a bunch of angels.

*well, if it’s not for sport, no one is giving a valid reason - at least Russia has stated their reasons.

“Russia did not comply with either of 2 Minsk agreements”

I guess WE can claim whatever WE want, but when MERKEL, someone who actually guaranteed Minsk 2, says it was NEVER intended to be followed by the West, then she trumps all of us.

Face it, she killed your argument - so now your problem is with her. As far as I’m concerned, she ended the debate as to who was to blame for the failure of Minsk 2.

Have you seen the Soyuz training simulator? Images online. And what might it say of US technology that for 10 years, they relied on this supposed junk?

There is no escaping this. And you know it.

I have no idea who blew up the pipeline. But if I was a detective, in charge of finding out who did, I would start looking first at all those who went on TV and literally threatened to do it, who all just coincidentally are from the US government.

I sure hope we didn’t. Because if we did, there will eventually be a cost, and I’m not sure what that cost will be, or if it will be equal to what we supposedly gained from it. Just don’t really believe that if you’re not actually in a war, your military should be blowing things up, else that war arrives at your own doorstep pretty quick.

As I said above, merkel said simply that Ukraine got time to defend itself.

Medvedev is a nut who calls for global annihilation one day, for drug addled nazi zombies thr other day.

No reich is going yo be formed between Poland and Germany. Poles loathe a union with Germany only less than they loathe Putin’s Russia
