It’s either that or the forced relocation (ethnic cleansing) of 8 million of so Russian speakers, communities dating back at least 250 years. And while it is a crime to do that, it is only other outcome, short of genocide, that can come from this war.
Curious how many ethnic Estonians Latvians Lithuanians, Poles, Ukrainians and others under the control of the Soviet Union were cleansed or relocated, I would say that many if not most of the 8 million you are referring to arrived after the Soviet Union did their thing. How many Russians have migrated to Crimea since 2014 and are they part of your 8 million?
