“... it’s a case study in how to conduct a serious investigation.”

Yes, it really is a ‘case study’. Allow no one on the committee who hadn’t already voted to impeach President Trump for what happened on Jan. 6. Allow the Speaker of the House to appoint all members of the committee. Do not allow Republicans to appoint members to the committee. Do not allow cross examination of witnesses.

Do not allow Republicans to appoint members to the committee.

One could add, "Emasculate the R leadership."

What is particularly galling is that Speaker Pelosi appointed those dictatorial powers to herself simply by modifying the House Rules.

It does not appear our political party in opposition, led by McCarthy, raised a peep at the time, but rather only after it became embarrassing public knowledge.

What could the R's have done about it without a majority in the House?

For starters,
1. Raised hell non-stop as one voice with each and every public appearance.
2. Otherwise flooded the public arena and made sure the voters knew what kind of scam the anti-MAGA Leftists were running the minute she changed the long-standing Rules.
