Chicago — A 19-year-old man who was adjudicated delinquent in juvenile court for three carjackings this year and illegal gun possession in 2021 was found carrying a gun during a traffic stop in Chicago this week, prosecutors said.
Jamarrie Armstrong was ordered to pay a $3,000 bail deposit to get out of jail on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of cannabis
...
Chicago cops saw five passengers climb into an Uber driver’s Kia and pulled the car over for safety and seatbelt violations Tuesday, prosecutor Rhianna Biernat said. She said that some of the four passengers who sat in the car’s back seat appeared to be of school age.
Officers asked everyone to step out of the car, and officers noticed that Armstrong kept his left arm stiff and at his side as he moved, according to Biernat. A loaded handgun allegedly fell to the ground when cops asked Armstrong to put his hands behind his back.
While Armstrong has not been arrested since his 18th birthday, he was sentenced to a year in juvenile detention for one of his three carjacking adjudications this year, Biernat said. He received probation for a juvenile gun case in 2021.
Armstrong’s defense attorney said he lives in Bloomington with his mother.

Yup, right again.
So far - 100%.
The young crimnal was either smart or lucky in dropping the gun. If he were older, he might have drawn on the cop... for a traffic stop/suspicious people stop.
It’s the private domain of the BeetleJuice demon.
Why would anyone be shocked?
This is just common stuff for there.
The mom reportedly said “he ain’t do nuffin!”
On a serious note he is clearly a menace to society, how could a judge let him go on a $3000 bond? He probably makes that much selling drugs on a busy weekend.
Joke: why doesn’t Illinois fall into the Mississippi River and float away?
Answer: Because Chicago sucks.
Hey, no problemo. The DOI ... I mean DOJ is hot after white supremacist like this ... oh wait ... nuttin to see just move on.
You mean the name “Jamarrie” wasn’t enough?
We can’t know, but we can speculate, that but for that traffic stop, we might be reading about an Uber driver that was shot dead and had his car stolen by “unknown assailant or assailants.”
But we should take time to consider his plight and see if we need stricter gun laws.
To the officers involved, I say a huge “THANK YOU” for doing what you did and more than likely saved untold number of lives with the “traffic stop.”
Well done . . .
JaMarrie? Jeez, I gave all my kids boring names - like James, Mary or Noah. I should have named my kids crazy names - like JaMarrie.
Why would he be in juvenile court for three carjackings committed at age 18 or 19? He's an adult.
And the woman that tracked down car jackers and shot them dead is the problem
Part of the same group of judges that let FTX guy out on OR with $250 MILLION bond.
I will bet $$$$ that Dog The Bounty Hunter would NEVER touch THAT bond.
Gun enthusiasts want to know: What kind of gun?
“... how could a judge let him go on a $3000 bond? “
'nuff said.
Thanks pookie18 for the image.
“Teen”
But......how can this be???
Didn’t he know it was illegal for him to have a gun?
Maybe they should pass a law to make it double illegal. I’m sure criminals wouldn’t want to break the law by carrying a gun when its not legal for them to do so.
