A government agency in Germany has announced a new scheme that will see power suppliers able to remotely limit home heating and electric car charging.
Germany’s Federal Network Agency, a government watchdog responsible for the regulation of electricity and gas in the country, has announced a new plan that will allow power grid operators to remotely limit the use of heat pumps and electric car chargers in Germany next winter without the user’s permission.
With the plans set to be put in place by January 2024, the measure has been described as a way of ensuring energy grid operators have the ability to artificially curb electricity demand should consumption outstrip supply.

Already possible thanks to smart meters. My utility loves to send me reminders about how wonderful their new smart meters are. Which means the meters are actually wonderful for the utility and will somehow screw me, the consumer, like usual.
Middle Ages by remote control
They can’t help it. They’re Germans.
They could tie your social credit score into the amount of time you get allocated for electricity. I bet they are already developing plans for it.
People better rise up or this is your fate.
You wuold think this alone, if done in the US as well, which i suspect is right around the corner, will be enough for the citizens to vote en mass for another party, and send the cutrent party packing for good, but nope, thye will likely still keep on voting the same creeps in time and time again. People like whitmere, hochul Newsome and ilk abuse their citizens, but they keep voting them back in.
This is scary
Correct observation. I wonder about the reasoning ability of the general public.
are they voting for them
or are the mail in ballots?
Surprisingly wood burning has been rated “carbon neutral” by Eurocrats, although Greta et al are working to change that.
You can see how easy it was for Hitler to scam them into WWII , they haven’t changed and will bend over again

Half the problem is the the dictatorial streak in German authorities. That’s not unique to Germany these days. We see it in other countries as well, including the United States.
The other half of the problem is that Germans are traditionally conditioned to obey. I wish I could say we are different. And perhaps at one time we were. But no longer.
I’d like to say more, but I want to review Biden’s latest energy comments. I don’t want to be out of compliance. That would harm Mother Earth.
“Great Reset: German Govt Wants to Remote Control Home Heat, Electric Car Charge”
It has begun.
Germany could save money rather than have a government agency do like they do here in the states have black outs.
Happens here in Ca. in the summer and winter every year.
Their back up reason is it’s the fear of the Santa Anna winds will take down the power lines and start fires.
“Coming to a blue state near you.”
Like hell, and that’s the problem here. We think, when it comes, it will only impact OTHER PEOPLE, the ones who are stuck in those Blue States.
Not a chance, give the Dems full control of government, and the result will be the ENTIRE NATION. States don’t stand a prayer of preventing the feds from imposing whatever they want.
I seem to remember one of the Berlin freezers that posts here saying she’d just turn up her thermostat if she got cold…
Guess not.
“They can’t help it. They’re Germans.”
Do you REALLY think it’s a German problem, or even a European problem, and thus we’re safe from that mindset?
I sure hope not.
The ONLY people that will be safe are the ones who live outside of the control of Globalists/Neocons - and that most of the world, other than the West...but starting with Ukraine that bunch is fully intending to bring EVERYONE under their control.
In just 16 short years, you completely destroyed Germany's energy supply and eagerly invited 4 million single young Muslim males to live in your previously civilized country.
