I goofed on the Twitchy tags. I put a comma between Government and Waste. I should’ve known better.
If I understood an earlier article, the $482B Paul says is waste includes $475B interest on the debt, which can’t’ be avoided.
So in a $1.7 trillion spending bill, Paul only found $7 billion of actual waste. Of course I believe there is much more than that. $7B is a start, but I don’t think Paul looked very hard this time.

how come we only ever hear about what’s in the bill AFTER it’s passed? The republicans should be reading g through it and keeping the public up to date on the crap that they stuff into the bills before congress vote on it- the left (and maybe the right too) apparently don’t want anyone knowing what’s in it before hand- After the fact, they don ‘t care about the outrage because they got all their money by then

Money for deadbeats.
Sounds like business as usual.

It is fine that Sen Paul points out that $3m is wasted on hamster study but what he should do is attach that waste expenditure to a person! Who wrote the ‘hamster study’ words that were attached to the spending bill? Who introduced it as an amendment or earmark? THAT is the person who needs to be ostracized not just the 18 senators who approved it!
I heard the one about “The study to determine the psycological reasons attached to what WRAPPING PAPER we buy.
WHO DREAMS UP THIS KIND OF CRAP?????
According to the rules Festivus isn't over until the host is wrestled down to a three count. Really.
