Mike Lee is busy replacing thousands of highly paid IT workers with (H1B) Indian migrants. But nobody is allowed to talk about that! He's not replacing anything, his bill was to provide additional funding for H1B holders to become resident aliens or citizens, to alleviate or cure the backlog, which is part of the H1B program.
Those people are already here.
So whoever is feeding you that story is doing it for other purposes and it is not to keep you informed.
