January 6 Committee Report Ignores Nancy Pelosi’s Role in Failure to Secure Capitol

The partisan January 6 Committee’s report published Thursday ignored House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) role in the failure to provide enhanced Capitol security before the protest.

Instead, the Committee’s report attempted to place the blame for the riot squarely on former President Donald Trump.

“Trump sat in the dining room off the Oval Office watching the violent riot at the Capitol,” outgoing Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) wrote in the report, ignoring the days and events leading up to January 6.

Nanc promoted this whole committee to cover her lack of judgement. The committee has ignored Trump’s offer twice to Nanc to supply Fed troops as insurance but offer was ignored by Nanc and Ray Epps vid of him and others with bullhorns encouraging protesters outside to storm the Capitol. The committed conveniently ignored major aspects of evidence and hearings.

Wasnt McConnell the Senate majority leader when Jan 6 happened?

Why didn’t he call for beefed up security? Why are we blaming only Pelosi?

If it wasn't a violent riot, then why is Pelosi being criticized for not beefing up security? You don't need added security for tourists taking selfies.

The speaker of the house is solely responsible for the security of the federal complex. The mayor of D.C. Is responsible for city security. Both rejected Trumps multiple offers to provide troops to help.

Right.

She and the others were informed of the set-up all the way and how to trap the demonstrators and call it “an insurrection.”
It’s a wonder she didn’t blurt it all out the day before it happened.

The dirty media still calls it in the segment on Jan.6 final document released——the deadly Capitol insurrection attempt.
Deadly due to natural causes such as a heart attack for the Left but two women actually killed by the Right. Shot and bludgeoned with sticks and stomped on by police. One of whom is making book deal money for his lies about her death.

Ashley Babbitt and Rosanne Boyland.
May they rest in peace.

“ The speaker of the house is solely responsible for the security of the federal complex. ”

According what I’ve read, the Senate leader shares that responsibility. And his designer is part of the panel that oversee the Capital police. McConnell cannot escape his share of accountability, and Freepers who try to pin it only on Pelosi because she’s a Democrat are putting partisanship over the pursuit of truth

Pelosi-McConnell refused to increase security! Capitol emergency began before Trump finished speaking

By M Dowling - January 11, 2021

The Washington Post reported late Sunday night that the outgoing Capitol Police Chief, Steve Sund, believes his efforts to secure the premises were undermined by a lack of concern from House and Senate security officials who answer directly to Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate leader Mitch McConnell.

Also, the timeline means the Capitol was breached well before the President finished speaking and those who listened to the speech were not at the Capitol for another 56 minutes.
