Neighbors have returned from Poland but haven’t had a chance to visit with them yet.
Their English is limited but I really want to know what is going on. The media is always questionable and the Putin cult has no credibility.

He was elected fair & square. By world standards he’s as legitimate as any. Is every world national leader a “usurper”, according to whatever logic you are using?

Because you would have to argue that, full stop.

you do realize that NATO hasn't committed a single first line tank, first line APC, or first line combat aircraft to the Ukraine War, right?

NATO Is engaged in a proxy war against Russia, using Ukraine as cannon fodder. When you acknowledge that as a baseline for further discussion, come back to me for your weekly kick in the vag.

The president was removed in a coup in 2014, and this clown’s predecessor started persecution of the Russian minority (starting the first stage of the war, in response to which Obama/Biden did nothing). After millions were sent to Biden Inc., we suddenly care.

He is no more legitimate than Biden himself; read that however you’d like.

Ukraine demilitarised in the 1990s. Money was one reason. Ukraine was in severe pist-Soviet economic difficulties, just like Russia, but without the oil and gas to sell. Also Ukraine depended on the Budapest agreement to guarantee its security.

The events of 2014 (actually in 2013), began when the then-President of Ukraine, under Russian pressure, defied his parliament and went back on his promise to sign the EU Association agreement, a first step towards joining the EU. That was the real cause of the troubles, in that Russia (Putin) insisted that Ukraine remain an economic dependency of Russia. Everything else flowed from that.

You completely sidestep the incontrovertible fact the NATO has not yet committed a single first line tank, APC, or combat aircraft to Ukraine. Not one/I>. And in the meantime, the Russians are having to pull ancient T-62's, and in some cases, T-55's, out of storage, to try to replenish some of their armor losses. That confirms your initial statement that NATO is "outgunned" by Russia to be a complete joke.

I guess that's somewhat understandable because you've never served in the military and have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. And haven't since this war began.

OK; somehow the popularly-elected hero can’t get anyone to fight for him so he has to prevent men from leaving and conscripting them.

Was Russia’s insistence based on agreements made when they first agreed to grant Ukraine independence? Trying to join NATO certainly was in violation of those conditions.

I read it as an election (several) took place since 2014, per international standards.

Thats the current accepted standard of legitimacy, the popular will.

On the grounds you state there are no legitimate governments anywhere.

Is Biden the legitimate president of the US? Simple yes or no answer.

Welcome to war.

In 1941 the popularly elected US President, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, declared conscription, prevented conscriptable men from leaving the US, and made millions serve in the military for the duration of the war. No doubt quite a lot of them were made to serve unwillingly.

Bingo. That's exactly what the Maidan and this entire war are all about. It was Yanukovych's last second reversal of the government's position with respect to integrating economically with the EU rather than with Russia that triggered the Maidan. Neither the Ukrainian people nor the Ukrainian Parliament had any interest in becoming a Russian economic dependency. So, they booted him out, and that's when Russia invaded Crimea and all this crap started.

And naturally, when he fled Ukraine, he went back to where his true loyalties lay - Russia, and is still there today.

No one in their right mind would serve next to a Neocon pig like you. With you as an example of military service, it's no wonder recruiting has fallen off a cliff.

I understand how it works; look at the response he received versus the Biden client in Ukraine.

Whatever. None of that changes the fact that you are speaking out of your sphincter when it comes the military. You truly don't know what you're talking about.
