In a warm state, I’ve read of EV types having to turn of the A/C and even their running lights, radio, etc. when running low on juice but your gas powered vehicles always have heat as soon as the engine warms up. The EVs don’t have that benefit.

Cold & running low on juice? Turn off your heat! ;-)

---------------

Well, isn't that what the JAs say about 'saving the planet'?

("Turn down the heat")

It serves them right. Let them eat ice. /s

Did you catch that BS article yesterday which was promoting engine damage for prewarming/idling ICE vehicles?

The auto service company notes that idling your engine could damage it while minimizing the car's fuel efficiency, which is harmful to the environment due to fumes emitted from the engine that pollutes the air.
At the end they decided to add insult to injury by coldly informing readers that if they didn't lay out the $7-1000 for a Level 2 charger that they were SOL of sorts in terms of a warm car & expected range.
