Cybersecurity expert in Lake trial: Ballot printers must have been intentionally tampered with

Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer sought to dismiss a subpoena requiring his testimony at the trial, but the judge denied the motion.

Acybersecurity expert in the civil trial of Kari Lake's lawsuit testified Wednesday that the issues experienced with ballot printers at Maricopa County vote centers on Election Day had to have been intentionally caused by changing the printer settings.

The trial began Wednesday with the testimonies of Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer, Maricopa County Director of Elections Scott Jarrett, cybersecurity expert Clay Parikh, and Heather Honey, who does open source research with regard to elections.

Parikh, who has previously worked with election systems, testified that the settings on either the printers or the laptops at the vote centers that sent the ballot print jobs to the printers had to have been intentionally changed to cause the printer errors that were experienced on Election Day.

Honey testified that there were no chain of custody documents provided by Maricopa County for Early Voting ballots dropped off in drop boxes on Election Day, despite documents being made available for ballots from the Early Voting period prior to Election Day.

Jarrett explained under direct examination that the vote center wait times were based on prior elections, and calculated that voters would wait in line for about 30 minutes on average. He said that wait times included how long it would take voters to check in at the vote centers. The election director said under cross-examination by defendants' counsel that the average wait time for all voters was less than few minutes on Election Day.

So what. Who checked the ballots. I got all kinds of printed crap at work. You have to check it. the printer is not responsible after the product is accepted and used.

You’ve got it right on all counts. Recorder Richer looked verrrrry uncomfortable during testimony, did not want to testify, but was forced by the judge. He denied—under oath—starting an anti-MAGA PAC, but emails indicate otherwise. If proven, stop the presses ! Fruit from the poisoned tree.

Wall photos in his office clearly show the county map highlighting R districts, but no similar D map. Malfunctions occurred in predominantly R districts.

He later explained some ballots are transported BEFORE counting... which puts chain of custody into question, susceptible to tampering.

Hobbs’ SoS dept. really screwed the pooch. She’s got creditability problems, no matter the result. And, she presents as a vacuous valley girl placeholder—aka Biden—incapable of original thought, but very capable of taking instruction from Soros who is said to support her.

One theory for why is that somehow the “shrink to fit” setting was invoked in some printers, rather than the option for “no scaling”.

Sounds plausible. The question is whether it was intentional or a screwup.

If that glitch with the size of the printer IS OR IS NOT INTENTIONAL...

IT DOESN’T MATTER, IF THERE WAS A GLITCH ...THEN IT HAS TO BE REPAIRED...BECAUSE “IT HAPPENED AND IT AFFECTED VOTES” that is all that has to be proven.

It happened, therefore, re run of the election SHOULD BE MANDATORY.

I remember back in 99 when Chavez was elected, people were screaming about the Dominion voting machines.

I don’t understand why our side doesn’t by now have boots on the ground watching to prevent this crap.

> “None of our existing laws allow for invalidating and re-doing an election when some standard of fraud is proven.”

AZ has a precedent in 1916 of overturning a Governor’s election and forcing out the occupant of the Governor’s office after he had already been there one year ..... and forced him to pay back a whole year’s salary:

But I certainly understand where you’re coming from and agree with your sentiment.
