I read here every night that Putin is dead, shits himself, and falls down the stairs.
Protecting the airspace with Patriot missiles has a few effects. Beyond protecting civilians, it also protects airfields. And it would also protect the large sustainment apparatus for Abrams tanks. I suspect that sending in Abrams is the eventual endgame.
We’re also sending in JDAMs. I’m guessing that those will be used to break up the Russian defensive lines.
