TUCKER: Greg Abbott Lied About Securing The Border, Busing Migrants To Other States Fixes Nothing

“We don’t have a border and Greg Abbott could stop it, and he isn’t … He was willing to lie and apparently he did.”

Tucker Carlson called out Texas governor Greg Abbott for reneging on certain promises he made to secure the border during the general election against Beto O’Rourke.

“El Paso wasn’t like this just a few years ago. Ask anyone who went there,” Carlson noted during Monday’s edition of his TV show. “The question is, why isn’t the state of Texas stopping this? Where’s the Texas National Guard?”

“A few months ago, Greg Abbott, the governor, was running for office,” Carlson noted. “He was running against Beto O’Rourke, and he was willing to say anything to get re-elected. He was willing to lie and apparently he did.”

Tucker: This is an invasion of our country

Carlson reminded viewers, “He said he’d deploy 10,000 troops to the border. Oh, but he hasn’t. He just revised it to 5,000 troops. And then he came up with another solution: just bus thousands of migrants to other states, which is kind of funny. It makes for an amusing cable news segment. But it’s still our country, isn’t it? And none of these people are ever leaving.”

“This is an invasion of our country,” Carlson said. “We don’t have a border and Greg Abbott could stop it, and he isn’t. Why isn’t the Texas National Guard stopping this? We can’t answer that question.”

“We’d love to have Greg Abbott come on and tell us,” the Fox News host added.

“But because Texas isn’t securing the border, the rest of the country is also overrun with people from foreign countries who have no right to be here and whose identity we don’t know,’ Carlson continued. “At exactly the moment, we do not need a larger population as our economy moves south.”

Too late for that...Every state has been inundated with millions of illegals. I went up to “White” Idaho not too many years ago and the hotel I stayed at was crawling with illegals blasting mariachi music in the parking lot at midnight...

Busing migrants to other states, yes, will not solve the general problem at the border, but it did help boost national public awareness of a problem the Biden administration is both creating and ignoring, a problem most of the media is ignoring as well. It is also a problem that is exascerbated by the “sanctuary” policies of places like New York City where Texas sent the buses. And in that demonstration for the public it provided some minor relief from the situation in Texas. That it did not solve the border crisis itself, in general (which requires federal action as opposed to Biden’s inaction), did not make it an irrelevant thing to do.

So, what is it that Tucker really has against Abbott???

We can only hope that the flood of immigrants coming here will want to preserve some of what was good about America — for their own sake. Perhaps they will have more determination and resolve to take on a corrupt system than native Americans had. The hispanics I know desperately want the American Dream to be there for them and may well be willing to fight for it. Most Americans don’t care enough to.

Awareness?? You've got to be kidding...

For 40+ years this government sponsored invasion has been choking off our country, schools, jails, social services, hospitals, prisons, et al.

Those who are not aware of this epic issue are either brain dead and drooling in cups, or don't give a s**t.

Most libs are totally unaware the border is wide open. They live in an information desert.

The awareness I am referring to is the post-Trump EXPLOSION of the issue under Biden and his totally open open-Border policy.

Libs live in a world of zero consequences. Seriously, its like they have a mental block against seeing anything wrong with their crazy ideas.

I used to work around lots of liberals. Facts, logic, the lessons of history, and potential consequences mean nothing to them. They are entirely emotion driven creatures immune to sensible counter arguments.

So who pays for the Guard and all those Guardsmen who have to leave their jobs to watch the border?

Hard to deny a bus load of squatty “migrants” getting of the bus on the local news cast.

So if some more American citizens get killed like in 1997, then they’re just broken eggs to make your omelet?

Rotate with what? There are only a finite number of Guardsmen in Texas. And who pays them, and covers their jobs while they’re gone?

You’d have to be dead and buried to not be aware of this epic invasion after 40 years of nothing but lies and lip service from D.C.

Slap a 15% border tax on all imported goods coming across the Mexican border. Use the money to fund all border security operations. Problem solved. Next problem.

You do and I do. But that’s not the governors’ fault. It’s squarely on Biden and Mayorkas.

If you think you can get Biden to go along with that, then knock yourself out.
