Tucker Carlson called out Texas governor Greg Abbott for reneging on certain promises he made to secure the border during the general election against Beto O’Rourke.
“El Paso wasn’t like this just a few years ago. Ask anyone who went there,” Carlson noted during Monday’s edition of his TV show. “The question is, why isn’t the state of Texas stopping this? Where’s the Texas National Guard?”
“A few months ago, Greg Abbott, the governor, was running for office,” Carlson noted. “He was running against Beto O’Rourke, and he was willing to say anything to get re-elected. He was willing to lie and apparently he did.”
Tucker: This is an invasion of our country
Carlson reminded viewers, “He said he’d deploy 10,000 troops to the border. Oh, but he hasn’t. He just revised it to 5,000 troops. And then he came up with another solution: just bus thousands of migrants to other states, which is kind of funny. It makes for an amusing cable news segment. But it’s still our country, isn’t it? And none of these people are ever leaving.”
“This is an invasion of our country,” Carlson said. “We don’t have a border and Greg Abbott could stop it, and he isn’t. Why isn’t the Texas National Guard stopping this? We can’t answer that question.”
“We’d love to have Greg Abbott come on and tell us,” the Fox News host added.
“But because Texas isn’t securing the border, the rest of the country is also overrun with people from foreign countries who have no right to be here and whose identity we don’t know,’ Carlson continued. “At exactly the moment, we do not need a larger population as our economy moves south.”
Abbott needs to respond to Carlson’s accusations.
FL and Arizona made ballot harvesting illegal.
Listen to Lake — declare an invasion and invoke war powers the states still have. Put guard on border. And SHOOT!
Mexico have a problem with that? Then Mexico must stop non-Mexicans from traveling thru Mexico for asylum in the US — in conflict with international law. Mexico still have a problem? Then assemble Mexican army on the border.
Wonder how the cartels would deal with two armies on a border?
“ Solution: 1. Elect enough R’s to control Congress and 2. Impeach Biden.”
Not possible on either score.
The Republicans have proven, over and over and over again, that they are part of fascist oligarchy in full control of the government at every level. There is no solution there.
The only out that is possible now is for the people - in mass - to rise up and take control of their future for themselves…by force of arms.
I don’t see that happening either…but at this point it is the only option left.
US Justice Dept will sue you.
Justice Department sues Arizona's governor over shipping container border 'wall'
The Justice Department has sued Arizona's governor over a proposed makeshift wall along the U.S.- Mexico border as illegal crossing numbers surge.
Outgoing Republican Gov. Doug Ducey began stacking shipping containers along the border to use as a physical barrier to deter migrants from coming across the border to Arizona illegally.

No war is casualty free
I’m glad at least to see someone on Fox call out Republicans for their failure theater for once. That’s pretty rare.
Just another Republican liar. The party is full of them.

Carlson does, and is often spot on. Sometimes it’s hard to watch because he supports his claims and it’s just darn depressing.
And by the vicious, unhinged attacks coming from the left, and the right of center, you know Carlson is right over the target.
“Just another Republican liar. The party is full of them.”
All politicians lie. The difference is, Dems are held to the agenda by aggressive leadership and fellow travelers in the media.
Republicans lie to improve their personal position, nothing more, nothing less.
It does appear that Abbott is a coward.
Busing illegals to “sanctuary” cities is a good thing. It is the only way to give this crisis visibility.
It puts Biden on the defense. The Rs better impeach because if they don’t impeach they will look like craven fools, once again.
Look up the word “rotate” in the dictionary. 😉
What??????? Damn me for voting for him if that’s true....still think he’s better than Beano O’Dork. Talking to Hub last night I told him I was going to write to all my reps and find out what’s going on with Uvalde!!! Damn politicians!!!!
Busing migrants to other states, yes, will not solve the general problem at the border, but it did help boost national public awareness of a problem the Biden administration is both creating and ignoring, a problem most of the media is ignoring as well. It is also a problem that is exascerbated by the “sanctuary” policies of places like New York City where Texas sent the buses. And in that demonstration for the public it provided some minor relief from the situation in Texas. That it did not solve the border crisis itself, in general (which requires federal action as opposed to Biden’s inaction), did not make it an irrelevant thing to do.
So, what is it that Tucker really has against Abbott???
We need more illegals shipped deeper into the interior of the country where they will overwhelm “sanctuary” cities.
good post
We know who the Dems are. They are pretty clear about their intentions and direction.
The Republicans claim to be conservative but they pursue other self-serving agendas once they’re elected. They are duplicitous to an extraordinary degree and have little to no regard for their voters.
Republicans definitely stab their voters in the back more than Democrats do. The elephant is an appropriate symbol for the party since it tramples all over its voters.
“And what Kari Lake proposed, declaring an invasion and securing Arizona Constitutional State’s Rights to deal directly with the issue was correct.”
Yes. Who’s in the gov seat, and who is not?
