Tucker Carlson called out Texas governor Greg Abbott for reneging on certain promises he made to secure the border during the general election against Beto O’Rourke.
“El Paso wasn’t like this just a few years ago. Ask anyone who went there,” Carlson noted during Monday’s edition of his TV show. “The question is, why isn’t the state of Texas stopping this? Where’s the Texas National Guard?”
“A few months ago, Greg Abbott, the governor, was running for office,” Carlson noted. “He was running against Beto O’Rourke, and he was willing to say anything to get re-elected. He was willing to lie and apparently he did.”
Tucker: This is an invasion of our country
Carlson reminded viewers, “He said he’d deploy 10,000 troops to the border. Oh, but he hasn’t. He just revised it to 5,000 troops. And then he came up with another solution: just bus thousands of migrants to other states, which is kind of funny. It makes for an amusing cable news segment. But it’s still our country, isn’t it? And none of these people are ever leaving.”
“This is an invasion of our country,” Carlson said. “We don’t have a border and Greg Abbott could stop it, and he isn’t. Why isn’t the Texas National Guard stopping this? We can’t answer that question.”
“We’d love to have Greg Abbott come on and tell us,” the Fox News host added.
“But because Texas isn’t securing the border, the rest of the country is also overrun with people from foreign countries who have no right to be here and whose identity we don’t know,’ Carlson continued. “At exactly the moment, we do not need a larger population as our economy moves south.”
And how exactly would all of that happen?
Tucker’s just being an idiot.
So how long do you leave the National Guardsmen on the border, and away from their families and jobs, and who pays for them?
Lip service Abbot has been governor of Texas since 2015....
Why in hell did he not do this 7 freaking years ago??
Tucker wants people to come on and defend their positions. Democrats can seldom speak without talking points and teleprompters... And Republicans know Tucker’s quick on his feet...

And now they’re showing up, by boat, on Florida’s shores just like they’re doing in Europe.
Haven’t heard much about what is happening to them.

And all DeSantis has to do is spread his Ron Dust and convert them all to Republican voters, like he did everyone else, and many on FR will proclaim him Master of the Universe.
Adam West warned about this.
It’s the border of the USA.
Solution: 1. Elect enough R’s to control Congress and 2. Impeach Biden.
That didn't work out so well last time...
U.S. Troops Went to the Border in 1997. They Killed an American Boy.
Where are the 67 votes in the Senate for conviction and removal going to come from?
Impeachment with conviction and removal is virtual signaling. It does nothing!
Tucker is 100% correct. Busing these Criminals to other parts of the Country does NOT fix the problem. Our tax dollars are still paying for these Criminals........PERIOD!
Yes, I looked that up. The Texas State Guard is rather small. But it doesn’t have to be. The governor has the authority to increase that force if he wishes.
I’m not looking to pile on Abbott here. Instead I’m pointing out that he has tools at his disposal that’s he’s not using. It’s fair to wonder why not. Perhaps the reason is a good one.
Yep it was nothing but an election stunt. Abbott is Pence.
I made this point around two years ago and got crapped on for it.
He also shut down the state like a tyrant before finally letting up after over a year.
Secure Florida's elections.
What’s DeSantis to do?
Secure Florida’s elections.
I think that was done.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Psssst: FL still uses RCV-enabled voting machines, early voting, mail-in voting, and a type of ballot harvesting.
Florida’s elections are NOT secure.
And folks might want to ask why Deep State chose not to do what it did in AZ to FL.
G
How I wish that were the case. We had a President who was elected in no small part on a platform of building a wall to secure our border. We had Republicans in control of both houses. It could have been done. And we failed to follow through. Why is anyone’s guess/theory, but it remains a stark and very sobering fact.
