It seems that both of you have missed the primary point.

That point is that the cell phones of the Russian troops are continuously monitored and are now published for all to hear. Although not all are published, those that are relate situations where the Russian women at home complain to the soldiers to come home rather than die on a battlefield where they have no real chance of survival.

The soldiers relate that they are cold, often hungry, lack support weapons, are drunk, fear the constant surveillance of grenade dropping drones and are increasingly wet. The wives and mothers are aware of specific regimental units and relate gossip among the women at home.

Of course, the point may have been actually taken and the Pentagon post was made in a feeble effort to change the subject. The phone call intercept subject was known to be correct and was contrary to the war crime supporting efforts
