BREAKING: J6 Committee Recommends Criminal Charges Against Trump Over Capitol Riot...The recommendations are largely symbolic as they carry no legal weight.

The House January 6 Committee voted on Monday to recommend the Justice Department charge former President Donald Trump over the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. capitol.

The committee, assembled by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), concluded its inquiry with a vote recommending Trump be charged with obstructing an official proceeding, conspiring to defraud the United States, conspiring to make false statements to the federal government, and inciting an insurrection.

The recommendations are largely symbolic as they carry no legal weight. The Justice Department is under no obligation to act on the committee’s recommendations.

In addition to the recommendations to the Justice Department, the committee also voted to recommend four members of Congress to the House Ethics Committee for refusing to comply with subpoenas.

The committee’s Monday session caps the work it began when it was launched in July 2021. It conducted more than 1,000 interviews and held ten highly-publicized hearings over the summer to build its case to the Justice Department and the American public that Trump is to blame for the riot on January 6.

The investigation was conducted by seven Democratic and two Republican lawmakers. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) refused to cooperate with the committee after Pelosi rejected several of his nominees to sit on the panel. GOP Reps. Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, both of whom supported impeaching Trump over January 6, later volunteered to sit on the committee alongside the Democrats.

The former president has been a vocal critic of the committee’s work, calling it a continuation of the “witch hunt” that began against him in 2016 with FBI counterintelligence probes into false allegations that Trump’s campaign colluded with Russian agents.

Prior to Monday’s vote, Trump spokesman Steven Cheung dismissed the committee as a “kangaroo court.” He called its hearings over the summer “show trials by Never Trump partisans who are a stain on this country’s history,” according to The New York Times.

In an October memo spanning 14 pages, Trump hit back at the committee that had issued a subpoena for the former president to testify.

“This memo is being written to express our anger, disappointment and complaint that with all of the hundreds of millions of dollars spent on what many consider to be a Charade and Witch Hunt,” Trump said.

Trump is facing a series of investigations from state and federal authorities, including a special counsel investigation led by Jack Smith, who was most recently a prosecutor at the International Criminal Court at The Hague. Attorney General Merrick Garland named Smith to the special counsel’s office last month. Smith has taken over responsibility for a DOJ probe into Trump over January 6, 2021, and an investigation into classified documents allegedly kept at Trump’s Florida residence at Mar-a-Lago.

Only thing it will do is make sure it is remembered they did it.

Today was the sole purpose of the “committee.”

There was never another result possible. This was the planned result regardless of the truth.

And now let’s find out the rest of the story...

Will Republicans have the b*lls to release the 10,000 hours+ of footage... identify all the FBI agents there?

Anyone can recommend charges, even a regular citizen. Devin Nunes made several criminal referrals regarding DOJ misconduct while he was Chairman of the Judiciary committee. I think he made some on behalf of the committee, after a vote, and some independently, while Congress was suspended etc.

Not if McCarthy gets his way as Speaker and sticks to his current plan. This is one of the core issues Gaetz and Biggs are fighting him over.

The recommendations are largely symbolic as they carry no legal weight.

Suppose a donkey DC prosecutor/judge/jury all want to convict Trump anyway? Roger Stone had a jury forewoman who posted politically biased stuff but the judge did nothing.

What a farce! The only thing those idiots accomplished today was showing the public they can read from a computer screen. Not one of them talked without a script.

1 AZ legislator and 1 GA SOS blossomed into SEVERAL State “legislatures and officers” came forward with their testimony to buttress the charges in one count!! The words were on the screen and I guess they (Raskin) believed that anyone watching wouldn’t notice that he FUDGED the numbers some!

The most important one of all and the only reason for the SHOW was insurrection and that was at the end of the list.

I think it was Raskin who said over 600 people have been prosecuted for Jan. 6 but have not been charged! Guess someone made a mistake on his computer. A staffer sat behind him scowling the whole time and that sure looked odd. Did he not support his boss?

Two angles of attack:

(1) Ridicule: J6 was a poison mushroom for every single GOP RINO POS who associated with it. How is a Representative from an unpopulated state demanding criminal referrals to the greatest President since Reagan, simply because her father was the last 'GOP' 'leader' of the Deep State? Her implosion was axiomatic, she stuck her head in the guillotine for free. Drag the rope back up and do it again. The biotch seems to like the humiliation.

(2) The Untold Story: This ComPost article [don't worry this link goes to FreeRepublic] had the money shot graf that NewsMax couldn't bother to excerpt:

"Fifteen former and current staffers, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations, expressed concerns that important findings unrelated to Trump will not become available to the American public.

"Potentially left on the cutting room floor, or relegated to an appendix, were many revelations from the Blue Team — the group that dug into the law enforcement and intelligence community’s failure to assess the looming threat and prepare for the well-forecast attack on the Capitol. The proposed report would also cut back on much of the work of the Green Team, which looked at financing for the Jan. 6 attack, and the Purple Team, which examined militia groups and extremism."

15 Millienial mandarins at the kid's table were willing to talk to the ComPost, only to have their story covered in shit and kept in the dark like mushrooms.

How it is that, among conservative media, only Project Veritas can get DC Leftards ON THE RECORD? Here is an opportunity to get 15 DC staffers from J6 to PUBLICALLY COMPLAIN about how the Committee was conducted!

IT WILL RUIN THEIR MESSAGING and totally disrupt the Narrative, so someone just get the f up off their duff and go interview these pricks and squeeze every last anti-J6 quote out of them. Especially that BLUE TEAM, goddamnit, those snot-nosers are signaling they are willing to give up USCP and by extension: Pelosi, FFS!

Why does a Fox News or a Washington Examiner or a NY Post even exist if the Democrats are handing us a paradigm shifter on a plate!

It’s all they have. Things are going rotten in the economy. Massive storms are about to hit and heating prices for homes are through the roof (on purpose). People in the midwest may not be able to get home for Christmas due to a blizzard. People in electric cars will definitely not be able to get anywhere. Gas prices will climb in about 2 weeks when the refineries switch to making more heating oil. Part of the country doesn’t have eggs and milk, and there is a flour shortage too. Restaurant prices are high and people can’t eat out. Elon is publishing the twitter files. The war in Ukraine is....well...... This is all they have.

They’re hushing up the gay marriage law, which is about to go boom when people realize that private citizens operating businesses are not allowed freedom of religion. AND AND AND you have the giant immigration debacle that is about to explode, with even democrat mayors declaring states of emergency.

See.... look over there..... bad orange man.... bad orange man! Don’t notice the man behind the curtain.....

Hardly a shock. Show trials always have a forgone verdict of guilty especially when there is no defense, cross examination of witnesses, submission of other evidence or rebuttal.

““largely symbolic” yet the DOJ, corrupt as it is, will jump on it with both feet, present indictments, and proceed to arrest. Bet on it.”

Yep. Although a conviction seems ridiculous I would not rule it out with a DC jury.
