It’s not about winning or losing. It’s about churn. Taxpayer money is needed to churn out hardware to waste in Ukraine so that the Ukes can sell it on the black market and send some of the profit back into the pockets of the politicians who are also getting a cut of the defense dollars going to Lockheed, Mitre, Grumman, etc.
Don’t forget Raytheon, which is owned by Blackrock

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin was a longtime member of the board at Raytheon, maker of the javelin and other weapon systems. RTX has had a very good year.
