Former NFL Player Jack Brewer Delivers Powerful Testimony at Congressional Hearing On School Shootings

On Thursday, former NFL player Jack Brewer testified at a Congressional hearing on school shootings.

Brewer, who works with young men through his non-profit,the Jack Brewer Foundation, has spoken out about how fatherlessness contributes to crime and violence.

I’ll never forget being shot at and seeing a stray pellet skim my cousin’s arm. I was a young kid, with all the world in front of me. I was a straight-A student, a great multi-sport athlete, and even director of my church choir.

If I was caught with that gun in my pocket, I would not be testifying before you today. If I had shot and killed a skinhead or a bully back then, I may still be in prison serving a life-sentence today.

The difference between me and the hundreds of young black boys who are shooting at each other every day of the week in communities across America comes down to one thing….one word….father.

The reason I thought twice about ever using that illegal gun I carried in my pocket is because I had a hard-handed daddy at home that would whoop my butt. A 2016 study found that out of a sample of 56 shooters, only 18% grew up in a stable household with both biological parents.

Why do we continue to subsidize single parent families and not subsidize two parent, stable families? Will anyone talk about this?

"More than 180,000 American children were left fatherless by World War II."

Somehow, the US murder rate was lower after World War II than it is today.

Perhaps there is some other variable at work here?

It’s merely a Satanic and psychotic philosophy to reward bad behavior and tax good. One step closer to chaos and destruction of society. When enough steps are taken down this path, an all out revolution will happen. Probably not for the good either. Our government will step in with a ruthless vengeance to enforce a Global Directive (for our own good).

No, it won’t be discussed. LBJ was correct.

No fathers necessary - and I expect a lot of new births in this population in the coming year and beyond.

Why not have a child out of wedlock if the government is going to pay for it?

Remember when Dan Quayle broached the subject and how he was mercilessly attacked and demonized?

There are certain things you’re not allowed to say in America , and to talk about absent fathers and how single motherhood is a bad situation, is rarely said out loud.

Somehow, the US murder rate was lower after World War II than it is today.

Even though there were 180,000 children left fatherless, the social fabric of the country was different.

Many of the mothers remarried and there was still a father in the family. Most of the children in that situation were very young war babies and probably never remembered their natural fathers, only their step fathers.

If the mother never remarried, then other extended family uncles stepped up as surrogate fathers.

How many bunker buddies came back to the USA & MARRIED the widow/family of their fallen comrade???

SOMEHOW—with all the ‘statistics this country pays taxpayer money to vomit up-—THAT doesn’t ever show up.

Lack of fathers and the undermining of all societal entities that reinforce ethical and moral behavior.

Period

The Government is at war with us. They support and subsidize things that harm us.

There is a big difference between never having a father and losing a father later in life. Too many Black boys never knew a father because if the father lived in the home with the mother, she would have her welfare payments reduced severely.

Yes. Guns are a component in the issue thus my comment of Jack being on the right track. But not the only item. Lack of respect and so much emphasis on being “disrespected” at any slight towards some of these kids......

Government subsidizes activity they want to encourage. It is really that simple. They roll out the top of the line Platinum package for invading forces they choose to call migrants.
