Hoping for a geek son rebuild for Christmas. He can do a 16 gig linux box.

LOL, my son is a software engineer - he tells me Windows XP was one of the most stable platforms ever (at least I think it was that platform, they all look alike to me).
Sigh. I paid for the college education - and now I get flak for not knowing (what he says) are the most basic of computer functions.
He did recommend Brave for me b/c of the ad blocker and says the security is very good on that platform.

I go to FR to check my net connection (besides latest news). It always loads the fastest. If not, the net is down.
