A president ordering his executive branch not to abridge the second amendment never requires an act of Congress. Such orders are what EO are legitimately used for.
Trump is saying that his executive branch would honor the first amendment rights of the citizens.
To many it is a cult. Any criticism and one is deemed a “Never Trumper”. Even though most voted for him twice, and many still would in the general if he’s the nominee.
Putting things into a false dichotomy is a sign of a simple mind.
The world, and politics, is far more gray than black and white.
I might vote for Trump in the primary, and would vote for him in the general.

BTW, this Sudden Adult Syndrome has been studied as far back as the 1990’s which strongly implies that the vaccines are not the cause.

I liked the context of the second announcement.
What I didn’t like was Trump already planning to use EOs.
Which tells me he’s aware he’ll never get any meaningful policy or laws passed through a Congress that only needs to wait him out.
Then, he says he will urge Congress to pass laws. Right……….nothing will get done unless by EOs. Which will be undone when a new POTUS is elected in 2028.
I’m not backsliding. I worked for Trump’s campaign, I gave a lot of money to Trump.
We need to be realistic.
Trump got screwed over. We got screwed over too.
But this is America. Getting screwed over should make us learn a lesson and make changes.
Yet no changes were made based on Arizona’s midterm.
Trump is not owed a 4 year term. It’s politics. We are not owed anything either.
We need to do and choose what’s right for America.
Not pay a debt for someone wronged.
