A team of researchers, led by Lisa Whitenack, a biology professor at Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, watched 272 episodes of the Discovery Channel’s “Shark Week” broadcasts, spanning 32 years of shows.

I say that white men will give up Shark Week when women step up and take on their full share of Dity Jobs.

I’ve noticed lately that PBS show NOVA goes out of its way to feature women and or minority scientists on its shows. Yes, there will be the occasional white male scientist, but he’ll be the older retired scientist who pioneered the field. All of the current cutting-edge stuff is now being done by women and minorities.
