Sam grew up in a hyper-privileged household. All his life he was completely certain he could get away with anything. I think this was why he didn’t escape to Hong Kong or somewhere safe when he had the chance.
His parents are the ones who taught him about being privileged, they aided and abetted his whole scheme. All 3 of them are just absolutely astounded that they may be going to prison.
The fact that his guy did not take the first flight out of the Bahamas on a private jet to some undisclosed location just shows how stupid he really was.
IF I had committed fraud and had hundreds of millions squirreled away in foreign banks I would have had an escape plan. Fat boy and his parents could have lived out the rest of their life in Montenegro, Ecuador or some other country with no extradition.
That’s the mentality you get when you are never held accountable for your actions.
