It is amazing how unintelligent human beings can get when they have zero practical experience.
I can almost imagine a future where plumbers, carpenters, construction workers, grocers, farmers, and house painters are deified because they saved civilization from having to move back into caves.
I can relate to working for free.

And how about reparations for the families of those killed and maimed in the Civil War fighting to end slavery?
Holocaust reparations were only for those who actually were in the Holocaust, not all Jews or Gypsies. Internment reparations were only for those Japanese Americans who were interned, not all Japanese. California stayed in the Union. I don’t think they even had slavery.
This rationale has been cultivated for decades, IMO just to get us to an eventual point of irreconcilable schism.

I think blacks should have to pay reparations for the cities they’ve destroyed over the last 100 years and all the welfare, Head Start, and other programs that they’ve benefited from.
Anyone who has owned slaves should pay them those retributions. I suspect neither set of people are alive today.

Here’s a plan. All black folks would be required to have a DNA test to be eligible for reparations.
This would go into a national database to determine actual slave related ancestry. It would also be crossed indexed with all crime databases. As with any government feel good program it would be subject to the the law of unintended consequences
And we should pay them, scale wages, including backpay and interest!!

This is the shit that happened whenever “reparations” are discussed. Whatever the offering is, it’s never, ever enough.
Free admission to the college of your choice, which is basically what we now have. Plus a job wherever you want in the private sector or government under affirmative action ads up to hundreds of thousands. Then for those who choose not to work, $50k/year in assorted welfare benefits seems like fairly excessive reparations to me.
