For at least a half-century now, every special pleader in America has made the following argument: Yeah, but what if we were black?
This is supposed to be rhetorical kryptonite, capable of anathematizing "discrimination" against any group: atheists, women, gays, immigrants, illegal immigrants, the disabled, Muslims -- basically anyone except a fully abled, cis-gendered, white male born in this country.
Oh my gosh! You're right -- we DO have to let girls try out for the Green Bay Packers!
OK, fine, we'll hire more blind lifeguards.
Of course, Shadi Abdullah is welcome to be president of our campus Hillel group.
Naturally, the "What if they were black?" argument came up ad nauseum at the Supreme Court last week during oral arguments over Colorado's "anti-discrimination" law. According to Colorado, making two gay guys who are married to one another feel "unwelcome, objectionable, unacceptable or undesirable" is the equivalent of separate water fountains for black people.
A web designer had petitioned the court, objecting to the law's requirement that she design a website celebrating a gay marriage, in contravention of her religious beliefs. But if you'd heard only the questions from Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson, you'd think the petitioner was refusing to design websites for black people.

Not even blacks are the victims that Democrats try to portray them as. When have you last heard a news story about homosexuals not having the right to do something that everyone else can do? Never. If anything, these “protected minorities” have more rights than the common citizen, which is wrong. A Democracy is not supposed to work like that.
Should I be forced to a web site (or cake) that says: "Interracial marriage is wrong.:"
Because the web designer and the baker weren't saying they wouldn't sell cakes to gays, they were saying they didn't want to be forced to put a message on the web site or cake. She is basically saying a gay person should be able to force them to put out whatever message they want, or it's the equivalent of segregation? If a gay person wanted this guy to create an anti-Semitic web site, she says he has to do it?
Both try to make every discussion about bondage.
A Republic....not a democracy....A Republic.
Headline: Gays, You’re Not Black.....
Don Lemon’s boyfriend: Say what? Donny is you is or is you ain’t black?
Endless blacks this, gays that… can we not give these assholes a few states and be done with them for good?
No alphabet person can claim it.
Their side says gender is fluid. Therefore by their own argument, its not a fixed thing, it can vary and change.
Therefore sexuality by their own definition is malleable and more or a preference. Skin color, while it can be influenced by sun exposure or lack thereof, can’t change a person’s normal genetic hue.
Therefore why shouldnt we try to change it to hetero? Life would be a hell of a lot easier and enjoyable for them.
Everyone hates Ann’s anti-Trump screeds, so here she goes writing about the homosexual agenda.
Hmm.
Is Ann coulter still a woman?
Blactivists (most disgusted by perverts) used to be publicly enraged when this comparison was made to advance the pervert agenda. I guess they’ve been bought off.
Was she ever one?
I always thought she was an “it” with “sh” in front of “it”!!
