THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
* TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
SOUTHWEST ALABAMA
SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA
SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
COASTAL WATERS
* EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 1225 PM
UNTIL 800 PM CST.
..THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION
* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
NUMEROUS TORNADOES EXPECTED WITH A FEW INTENSE TORNADOES LIKELY
SCATTERED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE
ISOLATED LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE
SUMMARY...NUMEROUS SUPERCELL THUNDERSTORMS HAVE FORMED AND WILL
AFFECT PORTIONS OF THE WATCH AREA THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY
EVENING. STRONG WINDS ALOFT AND AMPLE INSTABILITY WILL POSE A RISK
OF SEVERAL TORNADOES, INCLUDING A FEW STRONG TORNADOES.
Yep, so far they have been to the east of us and to the west of us. The ones to the west were very close and were heading in our direction but then changed course going to the the north. Hopefully they will continue to miss us.
Going to be a long day along the Gulf Coast.

Actually, that was a helluva nice car. My uncle owned one.
We are located pretty far west of either of those locations, close to Interstate 55. What I see on the radar is that most of the storms are bypassing you to the west. So hopefully you will miss it. But one never knows as these things tend to keep moving eastwards. 🙂
