Do try and keep up. Driving is a Privilege and has been the narrative/terminology used for the past 20 years.
True story. I recently couldn't renew my Driving Privilege in MO because my Driving Privilege had been suspended by MA, a place I haven't been since 1986. Cost me $300 and 8 hours if my time, plus prevented me from starting a new job for 2 1/2 months. Took over a month to be able to take a "attitudinal driving course" by the NSC because it's specific to MA for people who no longer live in MA so it takes a while to have enough people for a course session. I guess Plymouth County MA is still digging old paper citations out of the basement and plugging them into the computer system and a ticket from 1984 triggered a suspension and evidently, there's no statute of limitations when it comes to your Driving Privilege
So yes, I could definitely see Au Canada suspending people's Driving Privilege by saying they're a danger to others.

Perhaps the people who are willing to risk getting the sniffles are also people who are risk takers in other areas, like driving on the highway.
