CTH took considerable flak for reporting on the uniparty system of Georgia politics prior to the 2020 midterms. With the election in the rearview mirror, the Georgia Secretary of State is now proposing to permanently codify Democrat control of the state.
(Via Reason) […] Speaking to The New York Times last week, Raffensperger said he would petition the state legislature with three separate proposals. One would force large counties to open more locations for voting early. Another would lower the vote total needed to avoid a runoff from 50 percent to 45.
The third proposal is the most consequential, and the most interesting. Raffensperger will also state lawmakers to consider switching to a ranked choice ballot for future elections.

>> There are evil geniuses and also evil retards. It’s a diverse pool.
lol — sadly true
I was waiting for someone like you to come on and tout all that Kemp is doing.
I don’t care is Perdue ran a horrible campaign. If someone needed a campaign to wake them up to see what Kemp has been and will continue to do, they shouldn’t be voting.
Then again, those campaigns have absolutely ZERO to do with what is coming for the state. And Kemp is all about it. He, like Raffensberger, is bought and paid for. And it’s only going to get worse. The Left won’t need to cheat much longer in the statewide and federal elections. They’ll have enough folks to swing the state their way without it.
Goes to prove that most folks can’t see past the end of their noses and don’t care until it’s in their front yard.
As for the EV plant in Rutledge, if the people were made aware and were on board with it, that’s fine. But this, doing everything in secret, so no one knows is pure corruption and BS. And then being told to enjoy the sh*t sandwich, because we’re all such uneducated rubes.
These companies are playing Kemp, et al, like a fiddle.
I think the state gives away too much in the form of tax incentives and infrastructure promises to attract these projects, but unfortunately that’s what (most) politicians do.
I find it hilarious. Kemp, et al give away $1,500,000,000, every year, to an industry that hates Conservatives. Most of the workers are imported gypsies that followed the work from NY and California. The program has never been audited to see where the money is going and they also get to take advantage of the state’s Right to Work laws, so no union wages. As for its ancestral home, Hollywood, California offered them $300,000,000. 5x less and they get to pay union wages.
Hmmmm....so much for the abortion law forcing them to take their industry elswhere. Free taxpayer dollars from those they hate are more important.
“I was waiting for someone like you to come on and tout all that Kemp is doing.”
I didn’t “tout” anything that Kemp is doing or has done. I am very critical of the tax giveaways that the GA legislature has given to Rivian, SK, and now Hyundai, as well as the movie industry and many others. I merely pointed out that Kemp’s opposition (and, apparently, your favorite GA politician), David Perdue, would also have supported these giveaways and, moreover, ran a terrible campaign in the primary, getting his @$$ handed to him on a silver platter by the voters. Perdue even lost earlier to soy boy John Ossoff, who “worked” in a job that his father essentially bought for him and who didn’t even live in Georgia during the Senate campaign.
The fact that the GOPe supported this guy (strongly) shows you exactly who they are. The GOP are going to lose their conservative base and its money. Then what?
Georgia government is far from perfect and government officials here are as corrupt as anywhere else so you have a couple issues. You change things when you can and small changes are better than doing nothing. Georgia is far better than many states.
Are you running for office? You seem to have all the answers for everything wrong with Georgia.
One thing I do know is that sitting back, bitching and pointing out all the problems does nothing. Before I retired, those were the people I fired at work. If you’re not part of the solution you’re the problem.
If you’re not running for office, you failed to answer one of my comments:
If you live here I’d suggest you move to a state that has every representative that 100% fits your needs.. good luck with that as well.
>> Backstab Party
agreed
Georgia taught me to never donate money out of state. I send about enough money to have 2 meals to the Republican candidates in 2020 and the BOTH lost, giving the Senate away. And I like to eat…

About Raffesnperger.
He just looks like a leftist/RINO, I know that doesn’t mean a thing. Yet I can’t help but ponder….
Stacy Abrams is WILDY popular with the leftists and she checks most of the boxes; fat, black, liberal, female. Rafensperger is a pasty, white male, straight Republican. Yet he won and she lost when Walker got beat solidly. Isn’t that weird?
It’s almost like he was rewarded for doing something like..I don’t know. Maybe certifying the 2020 election and saying it was all fair????
