Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger Will Propose Ranked Choice Voting to State Legislature
Conservative Treehouse ^ | 12Dec | Sundance

CTH took considerable flak for reporting on the uniparty system of Georgia politics prior to the 2020 midterms. With the election in the rearview mirror, the Georgia Secretary of State is now proposing to permanently codify Democrat control of the state.

(Via Reason) […] Speaking to The New York Times last week, Raffensperger said he would petition the state legislature with three separate proposals. One would force large counties to open more locations for voting early. Another would lower the vote total needed to avoid a runoff from 50 percent to 45.

The third proposal is the most consequential, and the most interesting. Raffensperger will also state lawmakers to consider switching to a ranked choice ballot for future elections.

For all you Brain Surgeons, Rocket Scientists, PhDs, and all around Geniuses that voted for Kemp and Raffenserber, I salute you. You have just pushed Georgia further down the drain.

Is there a chance the legislature might block all of this? Sure. Does anyone think it'll be likely, especially when the RINOs in the legislature team up with the Democrats. Done deal folks.

You will reap what you have sown. I voted for neither. Not for Raffensberger because he's as corrupt as the day is long and about 600k or more voted for him in the Primary.

Why did so many of you vote for Kemp? Because COVID, y'all. Yet nary a one of you pays attention to all the other damage he's doing to this state.

I doubt many of you can tell me much about the Rowen Project, Rivian, the movie subsidy, the gigantor Microsoft campus coming to NW Atlanta, or the recently announced Electric Plane company. Amazing how all these West Coast liberals are just drooling to come here and make their money.

If any of you think a start up car company, that doesn't sell any cars, whose cars are around $100k is going to employ 7500 people, you're dreaming. Kia makes over 300k cars a year in West Point and they only employ 2700.

If you think an electric plane company is going to employ 1000 employees, you're dreaming.

But, back to the changing the election process, to the glee of the Democrats, again.

NOT A SINGLE ONE OF YOU WILL HAVE ANY SAY IN IT. You might be lucky and have a Rep or Senator that actually cares. Chances are you don't. And just like you have ABSOLUTELY ZERO input on the $1,500,000,000 subsidy that the movie industry gets and ABSOLUTELY ZERO input in the $1,500,000,000 that Kemp gave to Rivian, some of which is still secret, you'll have ABSOLUTELY ZERO say in this.

Raffensberger doesn't do anything like this without talking to his daddy, Kemp and legislative leadership. It's a done deal, Georgia.

Won't matter who runs in 2024, Georgia is going BLUE BLUE BLUE BLUE. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ....

The irony is how the Stupid Party effectively realizes this voluntarily.

There was no need for GA to go to a runoff in 2020. Same reason Alaska just lost that House seat — truly stupid players.

Our collective choices — evil or stupid — that completely sucks, lol

So what did you do?
Vote for the libertarian or stay home?
(same difference)
You decided to let someone else decide.

I always knew Rattenburger was evil. He is so peculiar looking, devoid of joy. He truly looks evil. You can't always tell a book by its cover, but with Rattenburger you can. Evil and sinful to the core.

Primarily, because of the belief that the system is so rigged that good people don’t run. Whether it’s lack of resources or intimidation. But Edward Durr, in South Jersey, broke all the rules and took down one of the most powerful men in NJ, with facebook and word of mouth.

So, taking Durr out of the conversation, we’re left with voters continuing to vote for the same people that continually screw them over, again and again.

Here in Georgia, it’s a ton of .... that’ll never happen here .... until it does and it did. In 2020, 2021 and 2022. And will happen in 2024 as more and more liberals pile into the state. To the point where they won’t have to cheat in the statewide and federal elections.

I’m not a lawyer but I’ve heard this phony form of voting could be challenged Constitutionally, and the sooner the better.

I was curious about your back ground and checked out your about page and posting history-—

Unfortunately, my questions were not answered, but you make a good deal of sense, which is also to say in part that you resonate with me.

That said, if you either from Georgia, have a weird job, or have an insane amount of time on your hands to know enough to go on a rant like that about George, assuming the rant is accurate (which I have no reason to doubt). A Georgia flag on your home page would answer some questions.

Your kidding me.(Sarcasm)

Any Republican who supports this or vote by mail, should immediately resign and take membership in the democrat/*independent party of electoral stupidity.

*It might be different from state to state, but in Oregon the independent voter is a subsidiary of the progressive democrats.

Primary: Perdue Jones Hice Walker and whoever challenged Carr because he’s worthless as much as all of them.

General: Jones Walker Write-in for AG and then went straight Republican for the lower offices.

Runoff: Walker

Why didn’t I vote for Kemp in the General, you might ask. He’s not doing anything to Georgia that Abrams wouldn’t do. Kemp loves giving away over a billion to the movie industry. The same people that were actively financially supporting and campaigning for Abrams. He talks of the jobs it brings. Well, as a Georgian, if the industry left tomorrow and took the 10,000 liberal workers with them, that came here from Ca and NY, I’d be a happy man. As would 1000s and 1000s of other Georgians, given the fact that the only folks that like having them here are all the liberals that live in Atlanta and the metro area.

They both support giving away the farm, literally in the case of Rivian, to any company that promises the moon, even though said company has no history to back anything up.

What did Kemp do? Covid, that’s right. So he’s to be rewarded for that, even though so many places weren’t really abiding by many of the rules other than in the heavy Democrat and black areas. Oh wait, he signed the Constitutional Carry bill. A bill that came up every year since he got there. Why this year? Because he had a primary opponent, that’s why. If Perdue didn’t enter the race, there would be no Constitutional Carry in Georgia.

Kemp is doing to Georgia what Perry did to Texas.

Been here for 27 years. I’m a carpet bagger. I tell my friends that are born and bred down here, that I’m more southern than any of them could ever dream of being.

My rant....Most of what is transpiring in Georgia started under Nathan Deal and has gotten exponentially worse under Kemp. Kemp is not a smart man. Not on any day of the week. His first primary for Governor, the guy he ran against was even more corrupt than he is.

Over the last few years I’ve been paying very close attention to what is happening in this state.

Maine has it and apparently it’s none too popular up there.

Alaska has it and we all know how that worked out.

Utah Governor is pushing for it there. The same guy who, on some type of Zoom call, giggled and gave his pronouns.

And now Georgia will be next.

With ranked choice, Walker might have won. Libertarians would have been more likely to have Walker than Warnock as second choice, so on second count Walker might have squaked over 50% with the Libertarian votes reassigned.

There is no reason to think ranked choice hurt Republicans in general. Alaska is an anomaly.

For each round of processing inside a computer, the last place voters get their 2nd place choices as a vote.

RCV effectively gives the last place candidate’s voters chances to vote more times than the 1st and 2nd place candidates.

Plus, if we thought the chances of cheating were elevated due to mail-in and early-voting, imagine ALL the possibilities of cheating when the selection happens in a computer, obfuscated by each voter “voting” with a spreadsheet of votes.

Any tanked choice system (not a typo) that lacks a never in a million years would I vote for this guy option is even worse than one that does.

And none of them do.
