The electric grid will be completely disabled well before the Patriot defense system could get there and be setup.

This idea that Russian can control the air space and Ukraine can do anything to stop it is merely propaganda designed to keep the war and money laundering operation in Ukraine going.

“The An-2’s. Which will look like oncoming attack helicopters, cost about $1,500 each.”

That was my first thought. The Russians aren’t idiots and they’re not ‘fighting the last war’. They’ve already figured out how to overwhelm our gold-plated air-defense missiles...simply build the cheapest drone-type vehicles/missiles and send a barrage of them, and it will be another 3 years before the West can replace them, considering all of the regulations put on US contractors (such is bi-annual Drag Queen shows).

By the way, Israel had to deal with this same problem with Palestinian rockets hammering them, so they developed very cheap artillery for their Iron Dome. Zelensky DESPERATELY wants that system, but Israel isn’t interested in exporting it to a bunch of arms merchants.

“About that, do you still believe nuking Russia is a serious tactic?”

For the record, I oppose nuking Russia or any other country. Interesting that others cannot provide a clear answer.

Yes, I’m clearly and unequivocally opposed to the use of nuclear weapons. Full stop.

It seems Biden is pushing Russia to get desperate with his conventional war and go nuclear

A further indicator that the United States has entered the desperation phase is the promise to send Patriot Missile batteries to Ukraine. The Patriot is useful for one thing — decommission it and stash it in a park or a town square as a past symbol of U.S. military prowess. The Patriot is completely useless as a defense system against cruise and hypersonic missiles. Just ask the Saudis. Their Patriot system could not stop attacks launched by the Houthis in Yemen. If you want more particulars go read Andrei Martyanov’s recent piece, About Patriots.

Any modern armed light trainer plane would make mincemeat out of An-2 biplanes in a hurry. Ditto for the slow & noisy Iranian drones, too.

Heck, even any P-51 variant approximate recreation would do the trick...

"Heads up, peddler...."

Are you posting from a slum in the US or in Russia, crank? By the way, can I call you tweak? It's synonymous.

"Patriot was not and is not designed for cruise missile and drones."

Why did you say something so obvious, that it didn't need to be written in a comment? A Patriot battery will stop ballistic missiles, but the mongoloids already know that.

The Patriot systems will stop various kinds of air threats, but my guess is that it will be best used against faster ballistic missiles. As for how it will perform for Ukraine, we’ll see.

Russia has already lost in the ways that count the most in its effort go conquering again.
