Let's take the lower amount, frankly, since the DHS number is likely the lowball.
300:5000, 30:500, 3:50.
Classic deep state 'best practices' on infiltration.
More than 300 members of the paramilitary group describe themselves as current or former DHS employees.
Maybe I haven't been paying enough attention.
Are the Oath Keepers a paramilitary group?
Umm, the whole point of the Oath Keepers is that they were ALL (at least at some point) military, police, or government employees to took oaths to defend the country and the constitution.
“Are the Oath Keepers a paramilitary group?”
It’s such a broad definition the answer is pretty meaningless. You could say the Salvation Army is a paramilitary group. The Nazis DID say the Boy Scouts were a paramilitary group.
Was Oath Keepers SINCE ITS INCEPTION a FISHING EXPEDITION to lure pro-Constitution patriots? Curious minds want to know.
p
Years ago I had a friend who worked undercover... Luckily he ‘got around’ a lot.
Once he was at a sting - tensions running high - - he looked around and realized he knew most of the people. Then, that he knew all of the people. As it turned out it was ONLY law enforcement - and they had set up each other.
It’s possible ‘Oath Keepers’ were outnumbered by Law Enforcement. It’s also possible political witch hunt mentality was part of the reason ‘Oath Keepers’ was chosen over the much more destructive BLM... All this stuff needs to be aired OUT in public - WITHOUT ELON MUSK HAVING TO BUY COMPANIES.
They are the ones repairing the copier and keeping the computers turned on. Folks that actually do stuff instead of figuring out who to persecute today.
It’s against the law to obey an order one knows to be unlawful or illegal.
Disobeying an unlawful order is an affirmative defense in any type of disciplinary hearing or termination process
Who are the Oath Keepers and what do they believe?
According to their website, “Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of current and formerly serving military, police, and first responders, who pledge to fulfill the oath all military and police take to ‘defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.’”
So, Yes. It would make sense that former/retired LEOs, at any level, were members.
Were or are they all idiots like Rhodes, et al? Not on any day of the week.
As it seems apparent. What could have been a legitimate organization has been corrupted by some means and…..here we are.
And even so many on here believe the “far right extremist nonsense” pushed by the government and MSM.
Some of you may know a retired cop or service member that is/was a member and you’d say they were the furthest thing from a ‘far right extremists’. But go on with your bad self and believe all the BS.
Uh?....Could it be that it is government employees who are spying on the Oath Keepers?
Yes, I think it the GOP hearings will reveal how far the DOJ, FBI, DHS, etc, etc, etc have been involved with these groups and inciting them.
This is getting out in front of those revelations so the braindead socialists do not get shaken out from their fog.
Back at the start of the Tea Party movement, I and a few good friends started a local countywide chapter.... we were visited by some of the founding members of Oathkeepers, they were NOT radical terrorists, they were patriotic Americans, most of whom were former LEOs and military... hence the name, “oathkeepers”. Are you falling for the MSM narrative?
“A leaked membership list suggests that Oath Keepers have infiltrated the Department of Homeland Security.”

We could only hope. I have a feeling there aren’t nearly as many at the DHS as I would like.
It was founded by DHS.
Which most of us here have been saying since they appeared the first time
