There used to be videos of Iranian executions on the web but they're hard to find now. They hang you. And it's not always one of those trap door things. They get a construction crane,put the rope around your neck and then raise the crane...you're lifted off of the ground.

I saw a video of such an execution some time ago. Two men and a woman were tied to some kind of sturdy pole,a rope around each neck. A guy gave the signal and they were slowly lifted off the ground. The two guys were still from the very start but the woman thrashed about for about a minute before she,too,went still.

Barbaric doesn't even begin to describe it.
