When you guy insurance, you are a profit center. They have to please you to some degree to get your business. Under single payer, you are a cost center, and every effort will be made to spend less on you.
Crappy healthcare coming.

Note to Oregonians: Want a preview of coming attractions...
Just read the British tabs.
Docs who refuse to see patients in person. Elderly who wait hours for an ambulance. Lousy cancer survival rates. Months long wait times for surgeries, tests, treatments.
The politicians who vote for this won’t be getting the same care you will be.
Because it sucks.

I despise 51% of my fellow Oregonians.
Useless sons of bitches, so eager to spend other people’s money while chasing after Utopian unicorns.

Bankrupt it. Won’t take long, with transplant patients — traditionally one of the consistently highest-cost surgeries with the most intensive follow-on treatment — flocking to Oregon. Combine that with Kalifornia’s free slave money, can you imagine the Gold Rush camps along the California-Oregon border with people playing both sides?

The point was, there are some who are more concerned about equity than quality. See what response to those questions you get from progressives.

Vermont and California have passed plans but repealed them when priced.
This can be done, and will be done, but only on a national basis with all in.
Nobody who’s not working in the system now can understand how bad things are. It can’t last another ten years.

Abolish health insurance, everyone pays cash and resumes caring about the price. Yeah and bring back $5.00 office visits too.

Won’t take long, with transplant patients Peanuts compared to the gender affirming procedures that will flourish.
