The Ministry of Defence is planning to call up to 200,000 people for military training next year, according to a draft regulation presented by the ministry.
The draftees will include territorial defence service people, up to 28,580 voluntary military service people and up to 38,000 active reservists. Additionally, the MoD is planning to add 17,128 new professional soldiers next year.
According to the draft regulation, "the figures constitute an upper, non-extendible limit and do not assume the unconditional execution of the presented proposals."
Poland abandoned national service in 2009 as the country switched to a professional military. However, after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Poland passed a law reinstating non-professional military service for volunteers. In 2017, the country established a new military force, the territorial defence.
Think how awesome it would be if the re-instituted the draft here. Any guess on how many 4Fs there might be today? Of course the gay thing would have no bearing anymore.
But Putin has died 7 times from 7 diseases, Russia has lost eleventy billion troops, and they’re out of missiles for the 18th time.
To be serious, this is a European problem and it’s about time they get their act together. We have allowed them to spend tons on their social and green programs, to the detriment of their national defense programs.
Western Europe needs to find their spines.

Poland, like most Western countries, dramatically reduced the size of its armed forces. The new growth is a response to the Russian invasion and particularly the effectiveness of Ukrainian territorial defense units. Tens of thousands of Poles started volunteer militias after the 2014 war, the government has now created a formal system with the army for registering, equipping and training more.
Poland will need a larger army to occupy Kaliningrad.

Much talk in the non western media about Poland “ re-taking” it’s historic land from Ukraine with the guise of deploying “ peacekeepers “ in western Ukraine.
The carving up of Ukraine is real, and has been a possibility ultimately planned for.That said , Poland is the only country talking about forcing the Russians militarily to leave Ukraine- France, Germany will not “ mobilize “.
Take into account Polish elections are coming up in the spring, the Poles have stopped accepting Ukie currency months ago, are quite fed up with 8 million Ukie refugees on the dole, and have voiced concern on Ukraine being a “total welfare” nation….Poland, along with Hungary and a few more EU nations simply are unwilling to cough up billions more in welfare….
A little off topic, but I have to admit I am torn and perplexed at the Polish position regarding Ukrainian. On one hand, they have suffered greatly at the hands of the Russians over the century, so I understand the desire to side with Ukraine against Russia. On the other hand, though, Poland is its heart a conservative, Christian, good country that still stands fir pro life and traditional marriage (does not allow the gay agenda and other woke crap to infiltrate society through government policy). In regards to the latter, why in the heck would they align themselves with the New World order Soro’s/Biden crowd? I
Exactly why you should monitor the upcoming Polish elections….the cracks in the EU and NATO nations may just turn into a total fracturing.

Why Not Now? Look like war is coming to Poland SOON. Poland should be in total Mobilization if they are to fight Russia in the next few weeks. They need to draft women too—to run the drones and robot tanks and pilot the new Fighter Planes. When war hits it will come overnight.
The chance of Russia attacking Poland is near zero.
Russia is just holding eastern Ukraine.

No, Russia will not attack Poland, Poland will attack Russia. The Russian army is on the ropes in Ukraine—what better time to even out old scores and grab some land? With NATO Backing Poland can not lose such a war.
