“...Sinema, in a separate Politico interview published on Friday, said she would not caucus with the Republican Party...”
Not good. Republicans need to offer her something.
To: Recovering_Democrat
Well well well... Love to have been a fly on the wall when Schumer was handed that letter.

wow....maybe manchin will follow suit...and change the balance of power
To: Recovering_Democrat
Her’s are much larger than Manchin’s. That she had the
wherewithal to walk out the door is enough to prove this
statement. Giving us a somewhat level playing field has
never been the mantra of d’rats. Schumer, he regurgitated
those state dinners SloJo slept through.

Interesting but I wouldn’t get too excited since she is pushing her amnesty. Even if Manchin did the same thing we still have our old reliables, Romney, Murkowski, and Collins to vote with the Rats when they need them.
To: Recovering_Democrat
It really doesn’t change anything. She’s caucusing with the Democrats. Her status is no different than Bernie Sanders or Angus King who are the same way. This is just a cheap re-election tactic for next year. Next news item.

Makes no difference at all.....Dem’s still have about 54 votes on their side of the Senate, with Romney, Collins, Murkowski, and Graham voting with them (among others).

She’ll still caucus with the Democrats, the Democrats control which committees she gets to be on.... this changes nothing except that we now have three liberal stooges in the Senate (Sinema, King, Sanders) who are all really Democrats yet call themselves “independent”.
In reality, they are all as “dependent” on Democrats as they ever were, and in Simema’s case is simply a calculated move (with full Democrat support) to increase her chances of re-election and nothing more than that.
Only the GOP’s abysmal performance in the Senate races in 2022 allows this political transvestite to follow her “conscience” and pretend to leave the Democrat party. If she was the deciding vote, this little charade would never have occurred.

The other two “independent” members of the Senate vote with Chuck U Schumer *every* motherbleepin’ time! And one of those two will unashamedly tell you that he's a Maoist. This means less than nothing! She'll still be Chuck U's bitch!
To: Recovering_Democrat
Bad move by Fettermans aides to go after her and Manchin. How about it Machin join the club.

IF… and that’s a big “if” she is making the move now and does NOT caucus with the dems, that puts the GOP at a 50-49 advantage until the newly elected Senate takes office.
To: Recovering_Democrat
Big f’n deal. She’ll still vote with the democrats, just like all of the other “independents.”
