Apple being sued in class action suit by two women who claim that they were being stalked by use of Apple AirTags so Apple MUST somehow be responsible for illegal use of their products by the stalker and that Apple did not do enough to prevent AirTags from being used to stalk them. The purpose of AirTags is to locate lost or missing items. The use of those devices to follow someone illegally is NOT something Apple is responsible for.

Would this not be similar to holding manufacturers of beer, wine, and spirits responsible for the misuse of their products, McDonalds responsible for the obesity of their customers, gun manufacturer’s responsible for the criminal or accidental acts of the misuse of their products or the accidents and misuse of the products of the automobile and aircraft makers?— Apple PING!

I finally got one of these air tags for my wife so she could put it on her house keys. She lost them twice in two days and the second time I found them in the OUTSIDE of the front door dead bolt.

A step well beyond the idiocy of suing a gun manufacturer for the murder of a loved one by a crazed killer... using a firearm manufactured by said gun maker...

I purchased AirTags myself. An iPhone gives the user a warning if someone else’s AirTag remains in close proximity to them for a while.

Isn’t the detection of rogue AirTag use a matter of getting alerts on their iPhones?
