How does it get fixed? Without fair elections the country will collapse into a Marxist crap heap.

With civility? Anyone's guess.
This country isn't run by moral and civil citizens anymore, and the criminals in charge want everyone to think like them and be like them: amoral and uncivil (easier to control).
The De⋔s keep piling on the deceptions at a feverish pace: Cliηton, a natural born con-man, showed the way for the grifters to follow (Οbama & Biδen). However, with every election they have to dole out more and more walking around money to get their fellow criminals to cooperate - and a trillion dollar omnibus spending bill here and there funds a lot of graft. But when enough people realize their being had, all the deception and depredation the De⋔s can dish out won't be enough to stop the revolt.
With civility? It grows less likely every day.
