My daughter has darker brown hair and green eyes. So, that is what I picked for her doll -- a Samantha doll.
I recently saw an ad for American Girl dolls, and they just have a line of dolls that you pick from; but, you don't get to "personlize" them they way you used to be able to do.
My daughter (now in her 30's) told me last Christmas that she played a lot with that doll. I hadn't noticed that at the time; but, I am glad she enjoyed that doll.

I bought Molly for my niece when American Girl just came out. Both sets of grandparents had WW2 history. Molly came with news paper describing D-Day.
