My guess is that the conservative caucus is trying to wring concessions out of Kevin in return for their votes. Otherwise he will get elected and they will be marginalized while he plays footsie with the Dems.

Sadly hardly anyone ever wants to be Speaker because its a real pain in the zzz job and most Republican reps are moderates so a conservative cannot get 218 votes. That’s why we always end up with a RINO speaker.

When its all said and done McCarthy will likely prevail.

Here’s the thing about that McCarthy gets End with democrat votes He can no longer claim to be conservative And there’s 1 good thing about that that’s been missing for many many years and that’s a little honesty And I think that honesty is needed if there’s ever going to be a Restructuring of the republican party, There is going to be a clear delineation Of the lines. Maybe it’s exactly the right time for so many of those in the republican party to come out of the closet so to speak

As a side note to this thread, please consider the following.

If House RINOs were doing their job to investigate alleged ballot box tampering under Section 2 of the 14th Amendment (14A), that section a penalty for states where ballot box tampering has occurred, we'd probably have a smaller House with a stronger MAGA majority.

"14th Amendment, Section 2: Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State." In fact, noting that the picture originally shown in the thread has disappeared, the California ballots found in a ravine, evidence of a broken chain of custody imo, ought to trigger (imo) the "in any way abridged" penalty of Section 2.

Also consider that the post-Civil War congressional Republicans who drafted Section 2 made it to discourage southern Democrats (my word) from rigging the ballot boxes that Democrats are now alleged to have done for 2020, and now 2022 elections!

The bottom line is that the corrupt, Democratic and RINO-pirated feds are not doing their constitutional duty to guarantee each state a republican form of government imo.
