in a RAT twitter they said “The First Amendment is not ABSOLUTE!”

Trump basically said, ‘then we are outside the bounds of the constitution’

and it will take extra means to make things right...

Donald Trump could be more successful if he stayed in a basement somewhere and just waiting for the country to implode. This worked for Biden and any person who drives, shops or pays rent knows we are in a mess with getting worse daily.

This statement is not playing 3D chess with the media it is giving the ammo to destroy him.

Oh, right. There aren't any...

Because the type of Men alive during the Founders time would have been stacking bodies WAY before we got to where we are now.

Sweet Jesus... Does NO ONE read a history book any more?

I want to see Trump’s concept of an “unprecedented cure” before I pass judgment on his remarks.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why? Why does PDJT have to come up with the ‘unprecedented cure’? He didn’t create the situation, he is saying that the fraud of the DemRats caused this and his first sentence ends with a question mark where he basically asks… What’s the legal remedy for this?
Trump could say, “Good Morning, have a nice day” and the Enemedia would accuse him of being overly optimistic and biased against people who work at Night.
“This is the problem with Trump. He says incredibly stupidly worded things, which give fodder for his enemies.”
I remember on one of his shows that Rush said one of Trump’s big problems was that he always thinks that people understand what he means.
I'll wager I've read more than you have, but that's not the point. Your post is just another one in the weird pattern of half of you guys saying "he didn't say what he's accused of saying", and the other half saying "he was exactly right to have said what he said."
Look, if you're right, then the type of men alive during the Founders time wouldn't have just announced another campaign for 2024. They'd have raised the flag of rebellion. Trump didn't. So he's doing this weird half-assed thing where he's arguing that we need to ignore the Constitution to put him into office, while simultaneously running a campaign for that office.
He needs to pick a lane.
This discussion is fast convincing me that fanatical Trump supporters are every bit as self deluded, hypocritical and nasty as the Biden groupies on the left.
Why not?...He's a leader...My opinion is not the salient point here. He made a statement that has generated controversy among his constituency, of which I am a part. To ask a candidate for POTUS to expand on a general comment is not inappropriate.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sure.... but PDJT has his own agenda and reasons for doing and saying things the way he does and when. I think he just asked the question to flush them out to reveal themselves for what they are. But as for expanding on a general comment? It wasn’t a position... it was just a question.

I think what happened is what often happens with him - he fumbled his words through carelessness and maybe a deficiency of literacy.

He wrote that the cheating “allowed for” terminating laws and even the Constitution. (As if terminating these things is now permitted and should proceed)

But what I think he actually meant is that the cheating “amounted to” or “had the effect of” terminating the laws and the Constitution. So it’s the CHEATERS who are doing the terminating.

At least this is the generous interpretation of what he wrote - but it’s not THAT generous because it acknowledges that he’s crashingly inarticulate. So consistently inarticulate that he has worn his followers out for six years by forcing them to always be translating or explaining away his latest gaffes. Even worse, his difficulty with language has come with a huge opportunity cost - it has prevented him from effectively selling his policies even though the MAGA agenda, clearly described, ought to have been broadly popular even with rank and file Democrats

You are entitled to ascribe any reason you choose to Trump’s actions. In this particular instance, I’m not sure where he’s headed with his “unprecedented cure” phrase. And that phrase was not part of a question.

It wasn’t 16th dimensional chess. It was a straightforward statement. Unfortunately, it SUCKED. It said what it said.

If Trump didn’t want it interpreted the way people are, he shouldn’t have SAID what he said.

I always thought

Termination of the constitution was the result of a fraudulent election.

In other words the anti constitutional behavior of Biden arose with his fraudulent election.

The Fake News is actually trying to convince the American People that I said I wanted to "terminate" the Constitution.

This is what I was looking for: A forceful denial.

However, President Trump has serious lapses in his ability to communicate. He needed a Communication Czar a long time ago. There is absolutely no reason on God's Green Earth that he is in this position ....AGAIN.
