A Baseline Understanding Mostly Missing Behind the Twitter Discussion

A long read but broken down very well. Once you read it, everything makes sense. We in the states have work to do and the Supreme Court case regarding State Elections takes on special significance.

"I am ONE Hour into listening to the Three-Hour broadcast that Elon Musk joined tonight {YouTube Here}, and the amount of cognitive dissonance and circular discussion is off the proverbial charts. Elon Musk joins the “Twitter Stages” conversation at 01:03:00 of the VIDEO HERE. Musk noted that in addition to Matt Taibbi he has given the Twitter files to Bari Weiss. However, the debate over what DC bureaucrats did -and are doing- from within the Biden administration, to censor speech, take down social media content and stop information adverse to their political interests, is a futile conversation without the full understanding of the current U.S. surveillance state.

Some of the stage participants on the call with Mr. Musk have self-identified as targeted by the intelligence community, some are under active and ongoing investigation, yet they do not seem to have an understanding of what this U.S. social media surveillance system is.

We cannot fight our way through the issues until we first realize what lies at the root of the problem."

“I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death my right to suppress it” Voltaire according to a reading by the old Twitter god.

As long as it doesn’t threaten people or property, the monitors should allow it to pass through no matter how crazy. You don’t have to believe it.

I hope this one finally has some legs.

Only in our circles. This is barely on the radar of the left and when it is reported, they always say the Trump White House used the same channels into Twitter to combat disinformation.

We will need a GOP majority in both House and Senate to change many things about how both bodies operate when it comes to “oversight” of the executive branch in all intelligence matters.

A. The “gang of eight” must be expanded.

B. Committee assignments and commitee leaderships should be rotated so that “new blood” and new thinking all alwyas taking fresh looks at all matters.

C. The Speaker of the House and the Minority Leader of the House as well as the Majority and Minority leaders of the Senate should NOT have special status on House and Senate committees with Intelligence oversight. Their “leadership” must be relegated to House and Senate general operations - the people of the nation did not elect them to have special privileges over specific policy matters. And all such legislative oversight should be constantly reassigned on a rotating basis among regular members of the House and Senate (else such oversight again become that have a rather static “old boys club” that wields in essence unconstitutional powers the constitution did not assign to it. All legislative oversight that becomes stuck in too few hands becomes power centers the founders never expected or anticipated. Only permanent House and Senate rule changes can correct it. Though I admit I am not sure how even the best rule changes can Constitutionally be made permanent by mere legislation as the Constitution assigns that rule making to the bodies themselves, not to “law making”.
