I foresaw that the whole rally was an invitation to Trump supporters to get beaten up , arrested
, or worse. I based my fear that on 1) the fact that in past Trump rallies in DC , the left started mob violence, beginning with Trumps 2017 inauguration; and 2) the fact that DC Dem politicians aren’t interested in protecting Trump supporters or in confronting violent leftists.
That rally should not have been held. Or it should have been held in a safe community far from DC.

I don’t know if that’s true about him, but I’m 1000 percent certain there were leftists on hand to cause violence - just like they did in Trump campaign rallies in 2016. (Project Verona’s even got a tape of a planning session for violence in 2016)
Because the potential for antifa violence or some othe kind of set-up was so great and so obvious based on history, it was dumb to hold thecrally in DC on Jan 6. I don’t like Bannon for many reasons, but his promoting the rally is near the top. He’s smart enough that he should have known better
I cannot argue with you there. That is one of those things I view also as realpolitik, doing what is easier instead of doing what is right.

I wrote to a few in congress asking them to bring some/all of the prisoners before a session of Congress, maybe to be seated in the balcony, or even lead in shackles before the house on the floor. Maybe allow a few to speak. Perhaps the new congress may have the balls to shock the country back to its senses???
