On Sunday, Politico reported that attorney Harmeet Dhillon is planning on challenging Ronna McDaniel for the chair of the Republican National Committee.

According to Politico, "Dhillon has been talking with fellow RNC members about a prospective run, and those close to Dhillon say a formal launch could come within the next few days."

Based on that look alone, I’d have reservations.

LOL

I agree with you, most of the people making comments know nothing about her.

I have followed HD the last couple of years and would rank her heads and shoulders above RM. who am I, just a casual observer of US politics.

[Harmeet is as conservative and tough as they come. I went to law school with her. She’s a Sikh, and without going into details, her husband at the time is lucky she didn’t knife him. Wicked smart, and takes crap from no-one.

I won’t do anything stupid like asking anyone to trust the opinion of a dude on the internet, but I’ll just say that if you like fighters, you couldn’t do any better than her. That may be what keeps her from getting that job, because she has absolutely no issue being extraordinarily blunt right to your face.

It would actually be pretty hilarious watching the squishy types if she got that job. ]

Thanks for confirming my impression of this lady from what I’ve seen in the media. Very quick on her feet and uncompromising.

If Zeldin runs, he should get the job. He got several Republicans elected in a blue State.

Pubbies use the splitter strategy all the time. This private club, the RNC, is afraid of MAGA winning so in comes Harmeet, a good talker, to siphon votes from Mike Lindell. “It’s a big club and we aren’t in it” George Carlin

I checked the Wikipedia list of past RNC chairs. Since WWII, most have served for two or three years, and only a couple for five years or so. Nobody has served longer than six years - which is how long Ronna has already served. What is so extraordinary about her and her achievements that she should have yet another term?

Do we really want a bedding salesman as GOP chair?

You misspelled successful business man, who cares deeply about this country, and, the so-called Republican party.

And....much preferable, over BEDDED, complicit w/Uniparty operatives, any day.

We have a RINO, a centrist, and a right wing candidate. Seems like everybody’s involved.

She’s a regular on Tucker, seems to be conservative in her thinking, and is quite well-spoken IMO.

That said, I have no idea if she’s qualified to run the RNC.

The RNC Chair is a very detail-oriented job. You have to be very familiar with campaign finance laws, electioneering laws, how the parties are structured legally in each state, etc. etc. etc. No matter how good your intentions may be, you have to know how the system works in order to get those ideas implemented effectively.

Lindell is basically a cheerleader-type when it comes to politics. Good intentions, but absolutely awful when it comes to details and implementation. His Absolute Proof special was an absolute disaster.

We need someone who can do the mechanics of the job, not just rely on good intentions to get the right things done.

You’re absolutely correct that she’s tough. And she’s been fighting the corrupt elections. She is one smart cookie. Lindell should just go away and Zelden has no charisma. Rona McDaniel is a Romney. That’s all you need to know about her.

Harmeet would be an excellent choice. I’ve watched her in numerous interviews. Nobody will get the jump on her. It’s about time Republicans put a fighter in the job. McDaniel is a clueless housewife masquerading as a party leader.

The only real potential downside I see is that as I said, she doesn't suffer fools gladly. So I could see her perceived as too hard-core to some of the squishier Republicans, and maybe not last for all that long in the job.

But maybe that's a bit unfair, because I also remember her as being just really sharp - she stood out from most of the others in terms of clarity of thought, and that was at a top ten law school. Haven't seen her since then, but it doesn't sound like she's changed a bit.
