An unwise revelation ... plus: what sort of cash when the crash happens? (I don't want to know!)
Savings for a rainy day. It's well hidden, and we sort of stay anonymous; even our adult kids aren't aware of much of it. Some of it in metals, also hidden away. Some of it invested in collectibles, tools and supplies. Some in hidden ammo. But it feels good to have real physical cash around in case TSHTF. If mayhem ensues and power is out, cash will have more power than credit cards, especially if ATMs don't work. If cash loses all power, oh well...

Yes, I've read that transformers take a long time to make, and they can't possibly get many replaced after an EMP. So no power for months, or even years.
I have a 1966 car, runs great (I rebuilt the engine 20 years ago); also have a spare engine and extra parts including extra coils and distributors. But... a limited supply of gas if a social breakdown happens, and will probably get stolen off me. The new cars depend on computer chips which will be fried. I feel bad for younger folks who are heavily dependent on existing modernity.
New currency is likely to be coffee, brass and lead based.

I had seen it in the 1970’s.
I watched it again several months ago. I was surprised at how good it is. Of course they were all volunteers so the acting is terrible and the clothing is way out of date.
Still, it was better than I remembered.
FWIW, I do NOT believe the Mark of the Beast will occur in the immediate aftermath of the Rapture. But rather in the middle of the 7 years of ‘Peace and Security’ confirmed by the man who will become Satan’s anti-messiah.

😯 You know, I have forgotten that book - and no, I never read it. I am sure that I intended to. OTOH, I am a prepper, have been since the late 70's. I even have a faraday cage. When CoViD hit, my son said that he never understood some of my buying until things like toilet paper disappeared. 👌It was a teaching experience.

No the Mark of the Beast occurs AFTER he outs himself to the World and I suspect it is after he is assassinated and dies and is brought back to life full of the Devil literally. He will demand full allegiance of all on Earth and you will not be able to buy or sell anything. Anyone taking the Mark is hopeless and doomed with no chance of Salvation.
