“ Europe just announced a $60 per barrel of oil cap against Russian oil at the same time Putin and China are increasing trade. Europe is facing a slow boiling energy disaster. Meanwhile OPEC+ says they’re not changing anything which means 2 million barrels of oil will continue to be slashed from daily output. All Putin has to do is cut uranium sales to Europe and the U.S. and it will be lights out. We are watching these moron globalists destroy our way of life right before our eyes, and the latest moves this weekend prove my point.”

“BS. The Ruskies were out of weapons months ago, or so I was told.”

I keep hearing that the Ruskies are losing big time! I’m still looking for proof. How much territory did they capture? Why do they still have that ammo they were supposed to be out of months ago?

Did their power grid go out yet or was it just the Uke’s grid?

“How about Russia’s massive energy reserves?”

I don’t see how “energy reserves” are at all relevant to the question I asked.

That would be high on my list of priorities if I were in charge of Ukraine.

“I am sure that Ukrainian military and political leaders feel that had they not given up their nuclear weapons, Russia would never have attacked.”

Well, they had the weapons, but Russia still had operational control (launch codes, etc) of the weapons. So they were essentially useless to Ukraine for any defensive purpose. Thus Ukraine thought they were trading something useless for something useful (security guarantees from both Russia and the West). Unfortunately for them security guarantees are only as reliable a deterrent as the resolve of the parties making the guarantees are reliable.

Ukraine never had nuclear weapons. The internationally recognized successor state to the Soviet Union is Russia, any Soviet weapons in Ukraine belonged to Russia.

“Iran (its terrorists) could launch massive attacks against the Gulf States, or Israel, or the US or against any infidel.”

Well, Israel and the US at least have already developed defensive systems that can handle the cheap Iranian drones quite well. In fact, Israel has transferred some of those systems to Ukraine already, but obviously not enough. Israel is much smaller than Ukraine so they probably do not have a large enough supply to hand over that could protect that whole country. And they must keep enough of their stock for their own protection.

“The internationally recognized successor state to the Soviet Union is Russia...”

Well, one little problem with that is that the UN never actually held a vote to ratify that Russia is the recognized successor to the Soviet Union. The application was submitted but actually voting on it seems to have fallen through the cracks somewhere along the way. Certainly everyone has been behaving as if what you said is the case so it could be said to be “de facto” the truth, but perhaps not “de jure”.

I’m sure Iran will nuke Israel as soon as they have working devices.

No other scenario. Putin's successor is unlikely to be a clone of Gorbachev. He's more likely to be a hardliners. The Russians won't give up on Ukraine. To them, Kiev is Russia.

Correct. But it was in Ukraine at the time. So the government in Kiev could have simply confiscated the nuclear weapons. But then the West would have sanctioned Ukraine. Maybe that's not a bad thing. They could threaten to nuke Moscow and St. Petersburg so the Russians will leave them alone. Eventually, the West will drop sanctions on Ukraine in 10-20 years. Ukraine is still able to sell wheat to the Middle East and Africa so they have some hard currency. The transition would be tough. But they can survive.

Then Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua are going to have nuclear weapons as well.

Might as well. But before that happens, the world will have to deal with Iran acquiring nuclear weapons.

Would you mind telling me why is it okay for Ukraine to have a nuclear weapon but not for Iran?
Do you know that Ukraine secretly sold Iran and China the Soviet nuclear capable ALCMs, allegedly destroyed under Nunn-Lugar?

Europe isn't "facing a slow boiling energy disaster"

It is a problem and its not easy weaning off Moscow's oil, but it is necessary as long as the imperialists are in power in the Kremlin.

Uranium is also exported by Australia, Canada and Kazakhstan

boogieman "What weapons 'have no Western equivalents'"

delta7 "how about Russia's massive energy reserves"

Firstly, those aren't the weapons that boogieman was talking about

Secondly, energy reserves - Russia isn't the only one with fossil fuel energy reserves

Zelensky didn’t ask for the $1 trillion.

He said that - due to Putin’s illegal attack and invasion, it would cost $1 tr to rebuild Ukraine.

The better option would be to make Russia pay for the damage it has caused.
