It is certainly not a “threat to democracy” when people challenge elections, especially when many state election officials intentionally violate their own state laws.
Speaking of which…. Arizona law, A.R.S. § 38.503 dictates that:
Any public officer or employee who has… a substantial interest in any decision of a public agency… shall refrain from participating in any manner as an officer or employee in such decision.
Well what’s a “public agency”? Well, per A.R.S.§ 38.502, a public agency is, among other things, “[an] administrative body of the state” — and whether intentionally or not, A.R.S. § 38.510 requires that anyone who violates the aforementioned law, “shall forfeit his public office[.]”
Gee, now of whom does that remind you? If it were me, I’d say that Secretary of State Katie Hobbs (a public officer) has a “substantial interest” in the certification of election in which she is a candidate, and the only appropriate, and more importantly, as it appears, legal response to “decisions” ought to be one of recusal. But I’m no lawyer, so what do I know?

It should be up to the Attorney General and the courts of the state, so nothing will be done. Horrid!
When will it be confirmed that Arizona, as with Nevada, has become California 2.0? /s
Demonicrats repeatedly give aid and comfort to the domestic and foreign enemies of the United States and the RINOgeldings do nothing about it.
One can hardly expect the Arizona RINOgeldings to object to a Demonicrat breaking some Arizona statute to get herself elected.
In 2018, Republican Secretary of State Brian Kemp certified his own victory over Stacey Abrahms for the Georgia governor’s race.
Even the most uncivil of societies know that this is just so wrong.
No one says this is right.
Since she was an active elected official, how is that not a civil rights violation against her and twitter?
Being threatened
with a felony
( which amounts to having a gun pointed at your head)
to coerce you to consider and agree your vote is ministerial and not really a vote
THAT seems like a threat to democracy
Litteraly.
This should have been illegal. I wonder if the shoe was on the other foot and a republican did the same as Hobbs if there would have been a brouhaha over it?
Of course the RATs would have raised hell.
Not to mention that the woman, Katie Hobbs, showed herself to be totally incompetent at running an election. Why would you want a person lacking skills and competency to be in charge of your state?
That is how we do it here in Mexico.
See if Georgia has the same laws as AZ.
Interesting how she is able to sue those who are questioning the validity of the election, but those who question the validity of the election, can’t sue her . . .
The unfathomable corruption is open and obvious. And we are commanded not to believe our own eyes. It’s surreal.
Ducey and Brnovich are the worst of the worst.
The person in charge of the election has declared herself the winner. We’ve gone full third world. Never go full third world.
if that also violated GA law, it should not have occurred.
