It’s NOT a violation of the First Amendment.
The first amendment is violated when “The Government” infringes on speech.
President Trump was in office when this request was made.
Biden was a private citizen.
Please learn more about the 1stamendment.
I don’t know.
I don’t know.
I don’t know.
Wrong. Deep state “government” actors were involved and they need to be put on trial for subverting the constitution.
think they stopped once in office?
“Elon banned Kanye, but that’s beside the point.”
Elon Musk

Replying to
@TheeAleexJ
and
@kanyewest
I tried my best. Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.

File under “dirty tricks”
But not at the instigation of the government. Elon has pretty broad tolerance, but any decent organization has a right to firmly and unequivocally repudiate Nazism, an unalloyed and definite evil. He also bans child porn. I have absolutely no qualms about banning either one.
Scalia would say no based on the text of the Constitution.
“W”...what are Republicans going to do about it?
Nothing, or dirt on them will come out too.
I think Elon is referring to the FBI asking that content be suppressed. Let’s wait until all the files given Talibbi are put out.
Oh, I understand that and agree. I’m just chuckling at all the people who were praising Musk’s commitment to ‘free speech’ a couple weeks ago in regards to Kanye when it actually had nothing to do with 1A.
I don’t want folks to get all excited here, but there’s no first ammendment violation here. A presidential campaign (not yet elected, ergo not part of the government) asked for favors from Twitter to shape the news. Twitter gleefully complied. Has been happening since the advent of news.
There is no law against this, even if there should be. The Bill of Rights is not a generic “things I like are legal, things I don’t like are illegal” catchall.
The right knew all of this was happening, the left knew all of this was happening, but the left is losing it’s mind right now because they firmly believed they could get away with it forever. Same with the Hillary crime coverups.
Musk shattered that mirage, just like Trump shattered the Hillary is inevitable mirage. Credit to both of them for using their privileged stations in life to pick these necessary fights that normies like us couldn’t. The reaction from the establishment is going to be at least as vicious as it was against Trump.
First amendment says “Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press;...”
Did Congress make any laws about Twitter, Hunter Biden, etc.?
Electioneering by Twitter at the behest of the RATS. So what else is new?
I am MORE interested in Twitter's BANNING FORMER PRESIDENT TRUMP from the platform. To me, this is MORE egregious and inexplicable..
Declare Twitter a COMMON CARRIER ALREADY, DAMNIT! It has risen to that level as a means of real-time mass communication!
Constitution? Dead white slave owners wrote it, so it can’t be good.
I keep resisting the urge to subscribe to Taibbi’s Substack — him being a raging lefty and all — but it’s getting harder these days and I’m succumbing to random thoughts of following an intelligent being’s thoughts for once…
Everyone already knows nothing will happen to any democrat politician or any democrat voter.
When peaceful revolution is made impossible, violent revolution is required.
These Tweets are interesting to read. I am waiting for the condensed list of Who Requested: Who Facilitated: Final Decision Maker: Who Was Harmed.
Before the violent revolution, there was the logistical underground against Mercantilism, which was what the revolution was all about. Smuggling goods from outside the British Empire, growing grapes from the great French and Spanish wine regions, etc. Set up the logistical underground first, and don’t talk about it on Freep or any other internet resource. If by the time that’s set up, a violent revolution is still inevitable, well, don’t let me stop you, but keep talk of it under the radar.
