True that. When Lindsey Graham pushed that abortion-banning legislation, the states-to-decide argument went right out the window. Like it or not, abortion is highly popular in this country and anyone who gets between an American woman and her favorite abortionist is taking his life in his hands.
Can't trust Lindsey for doing that. Nothing new. If he was a principled religious man, I could see him making that argument. But he is a politician as we know. He is trying to do a favor for the Democrats. The question is why? What are they giving him in return?
As a result, the red tsunami became the red ripple instead. The GOP conceded votes to the Dems because women and Gen Z are voting on abortion alone. It's an emotional issue. They don't care if the economy is in the crapper as long as they think the Republicans are going after "their right to choose".
Dear religious folks: Keep splitting hairs over what makes your particular denomination superior to others. Keep heaping scorn on those who don’t have the same beliefs as you (even when their beliefs are much more similar to yours than, say, those of moslems). Even when people who are atheist / agnostic / other show appreciation for and understanding of your political views, dump on them to the max because they are not as pure as you.
And of course, keep being hypocrites. Ostracize those religious folks who don’t belong to your organization - even when the head of your organization has been shown to be not just a fraud, not just a mouthpiece for globalism, but an out-and-out child-diddling devil worshipper.
Concentrate your hate on those who aren’t perfect (Republicans / Trump) and ignore the evil (the B1den Crime Family).
Because even if you can do next to nothing to stop evil, you can at least make life miserable for those who try to be good.
