The problem was progressives in Government strong armed a private company to do their bidding 'or else'. That's criminal.
Jim Rob has the right to define FreeRepublic too. That's our system. It's becomes criminal when Government thugs step in to push 'influence and direction' "or else". That's what McCarthy needs to understand.
We don't need Government to set standards for free companies - even Twitter - we need Government to stay the hell out - - and to stop acting like Mob bosses.
With the new Twitter - Musk is being strong armed by Biden's goons. THAT'S THE CRIME. He's being told if he does his company his way he'll be investigated, regulated and possibly put out of business.
If McCarthy doesn't understand it's the government that overstepped their boundaries then he's not fit for the job.
The government has no business interfering with private companies - newspapers, twitter, CNN, MSNBC with thuggy 'carrots and sticks. The same applies double for 'intelligence thugs' - they have no business interfering in American companies. It's unconstitutional... and illegal.
I totally agree.
I do worry that the Bad Guys have once again found a legal loophole of sorts. Joe wasn’t “the government”, Joe was simply “a candidate”. And the DNC isn’t “the government” it’s merely a “political party”.
Therefore (some might say) the government isn’t strong-arminng a private company. It’s just private people doing private things. Of course, anyone can see this is the Oligarchy suppressing their political opposition. This is what the First Amendment is supposed to be about.
But in today’s world, it can be shrugged off.
Progressives who took control of Twitter away from Jack Dorsey were conspiring with their progressive comrades at the DNC to eliminate anything and anyone that the DNC objected to. Where do you see “government strong arming” in that?
